St Peter Lutheran Church, Warwick New York St. Peter Lutheran Church is located in Warwick, NY, the Heart of the Black Dirt Region. We are members of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Peter today.

We are part of the Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod. Our motto is Family in Faith; Faith in Family. Peter Lutheran Church was founded on 5 June 1901 by Volga German immigrants from Yagodnaya Polyana who had settled nearby Pine Island. The orignal church burned down on Christmas Eve of 1917 and the present edifice was erected in 1918. The descendants of these early VG families still attend St.

Pine Island is a hamlet just west of the town of Warwick, New York, not far from the New Jersey border.

By popular demand and a true need in our growing congregation, St. Peter Lutheran Church is excited to announce the launch of Sunday School!

Beginning tomorrow, Sunday March 15, 2026, Sunday School will be offered for all school-aged children on the third Sunday of every month, immediately following service.

This new program is a wonderful opportunity for our children to grow in faith, learn about God’s word, and build friendships within our church family.

We look forward to seeing our young members learn, grow, and shine in their faith together.

Join us tomorrow at 5pm for our Ash Wednesday service. Ashes will be distributed at the end of service.

We're partnering with Calvary Baptist Church to pack shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children in need around the world. St. Peter Lutheran Church is excited to be part of this special event, and we hope you'll join us.

Happy Reformation Day! 🎚️On this date in 1517, Martin Luther kickstarted a transformation that changed the world. He sought to reform the church and return its focus to the essentials of the Gospel:
🔥 Salvation is God's gift, received by grace through faith in Jesus, not earned by works.
📖 Scripture is our ultimate authority, and everyone should have access to God's Word.
This day reminds us that the church is "always in need of renewal" (ecclesia reformata, semper reformanda). Let's continue to grow in our faith and live out these truths in love!
