May theme is: Divine Doubt

This month, Center For Spiritual Living explore the potential, beauty, and vulnerability of Divine Doubt. As the old adage goes, the opposite of faith is not doubt, but certainty. A refusal to engage doubt weakens faith by forcing it to be only rigidly believed, rather than lived into. Additionally, willingness to explore and examine doubt alongside faith adds layers of richness to the mystery that simple certainty can never reach. This exploration will begin with Self Doubt as the Starting Block, using self-doubt to open the conversation from the Personal Inner experience. Focusing on vulnerability and the transformative, guiding power of leaning into doubt, the month then progresses into the Personal Outer experience through seeing doubt as a persona to debut as part of an authentic, just, and reflective life. From here, we explore Carrying Our Selves Together, we focus on the shared inner experiences of doubt and explore the many ways we can be in community with one another through those experiences. Communal Uncertainty builds on this idea, offering reflection on the Collective Outer divine doubt to build communities that are willing to question, wonder, and engage their doubt within a web of love. Finally, we close with Doubt as Devotion: Questioning as an Act of Love. In this big-picture reflection on the quarter, we explore divine doubt as a pathway to becoming and to a higher, deeper expression of love. Taken together, these chart a path of Divine expression through surrender to vulnerability and a trusting of the Universal process.

Join Sunday, May 24th at 10:00 AM as Benjamin Blackett reminds all of our Divine connection in his talk, “What Has Been Forgotten: The NOUS...the Eye of the Heart.”
What most of us continue to forget is the fact that ALL are comprised of Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine. With the disconnect from that we lose our connection with our "nous" which in Greek (not French) means the eye of the heart. And it is this eye of the heart where we know our connection to Spirit, or God, or any other name you may have for Higher Self. This Sunday's talk will explore this subject through the text of Mary Magdalene Revealed by Megan Waterson, which among other things declares there is no such thing as sin.
