The youth have finished up this years mission trip! It was a great trip full of personal and spiritual growth! Serving others in a new community, and seeing the impact even just a few days of service can make!

Reading books is such a special activity for youth! Due to the generosity of NWPC members, we are blessed to be able to provide over 300 books to West Kensington Ministry, Crossroads Ministry and Oxford Circle Community Center. Just in time for summer!!!

The youth have now completed Day 1 & 2 of this years trip!

On Monday morning, we served at T-ROC and played games with residents and learned about them and their experiences. In the afternoon, the youth had the chance to do a simulation where they were divided into two teams, each team given $20 and then were instructed to imagine shopping for 2 adults and a baby for 5 meals, (10 adult servings and 5 child servings) on that budget while also creating balanced meals.

On Tuesday morning, we worked with Keep Charlotte Clean and picked up trash off a stretch of roadway. In the afternoon, we served at (HUGS: Hearts United For Good), where we sorted food for community members in need.

The youth have arrived in Charlotte NC for this years mission trip with CROSS!

The Presbytery Office is closed today, Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth as we honor and remember the end of slavery in the United States and celebrate Black freedom, resilience, and achievement. We will reopen on Monday. "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." — 2 Corinthians 3:17
