What does it mean to live in the presence of God?

Sunday, Bro. Jason walked us through Scripture and showed us 5 pictures of God’s presence, from the Garden in Genesis all the way to the New Jerusalem in Revelation.

A Garden. A Dwelling. A Person. A People. A City.

And through it all, one incredible truth remains:

“The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. -Deuteronomy 31:8

God’s presence isn’t just something we read about. It’s a promise we live in.

What does it really mean to follow Jesus?

This past Sunday, Bro. Jason walked us through Luke 9:18–26 with a message “Jesus Changes Everything.”

Jesus tells us in Luke 9:23:

“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.”

Following Jesus isn’t simply something we add to our lives. Jesus changes our lives. He changes WHO we live for, and He changes WHAT we live for.

What a great Sunday at Walker Baptist Church!

Brother Jason walked us through John 3:1–16 and answered one of the most important questions we can ask: What is a Christian?

We were reminded that a Christian has been born again, and that salvation is found in Jesus alone.

And we had even more reason to celebrate with more baptisms! We are seeing God doing great work within our church, and we’re thankful for every life being changed.

What a great Sunday at Walker Baptist Church!

This week, we had the privilege of watching the next generation publicly proclaim their faith in Jesus through baptism. Brother Jason then walked us through Matthew 28:19–20 and the biblical meaning, purpose, and importance of baptism.

It was a morning centered around the greatest thing we could ever celebrate: salvation through Jesus Christ!

Our worship set:

• Trust in God
• Christ Be Magnified
• Baptized
• Nothing but the Blood

We’re thankful for what God is doing in the lives of these young believers and excited to see how He continues to work in and through them!

The Forge is a One-Day Event that will challenge, encourage, and minister to our students! We will join other churches in our association as we take part in games, break-out sessions, worship services, and more. This is for 6-12 graders! We definitely want our new 6th graders to take part in this!

What a wonderful day of worship at Walker Baptist Church!

This past Sunday, Brother Jason concluded our study through Nehemiah 13, reminding us how easily our hearts can drift when we’re not intentional in our walk with Christ. The message challenged us to examine our lives, remove sinful habits, restore what has been neglected, and return wholeheartedly to the Lord.

One of the special moments of the morning was taking time to pray over the students, teachers, administrators, coaches, and support staff who are returning to school campuses this week. As a church family, let’s continue to lift them up in prayer as they step into one of the greatest mission fields in our community. Pray that God would protect them, strengthen them, and use them as lights for Christ in their schools.
