Dear church family,
On August 2006, One Life Church began with 13 obedient servants of Christ seeking to impact Ascension and Livingston Parish with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Throughout the past 18 years there have been countless lives changed and souls won for Christ. One Life Church has also experienced difficult challenges such as the Great Flood of 2016, relocations, and other unforeseen circumstances.
One Life Church has seen upwards of 175 members and as few as a handful of faithful servants. Throughout all of it the church has remained obedient to the Great Commission, discipleship, and missions.
Through much thought, discussion, and prayer One Life Church has elected to disband. On January 28, 2024 the remaining members voted in solidarity to dissolve the local ministry of One Life Church.
Although the ministry of One Life Church is ending this marks the beginning of something new. The mission has always been about expanding the kingdom of God. We are excited to announce One Life Church is in discussion with a local church to begin a new work to reach the hispanic community in the surrounding area.. The building and property will be donated to this local church and member of ELBA (Eastern Livingston Parish Baptist Association) to continue the ministry and mission of building God’s kingdom.
