✨ Weekly Gospel Reflection with Fr. Tom ✨

This week, Fr. Tom reflects on Matthew 16:13–20, where Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”

Peter responds with faith, proclaiming Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. This Gospel invites each of us to consider that same question. Who is Jesus in your life? Is He simply someone you know about, or is He truly at the center of your life and faith?

Jesus calls Peter to a special mission and reminds us that our faith is not meant to be kept to ourselves. We are called to recognize Christ, follow Him, and share His love with others.

🙏 Take some time to watch this week’s reflection with Fr. Tom and consider how you would answer Jesus' question: “Who do you say that I am?”

✨ Weekly Gospel Reflection with Fr. Tom ✨

This week, Fr. Tom reflects on Matthew 15:21–28, the story of the Canaanite woman who approaches Jesus with great faith and persistence, asking Him to heal her daughter.

This Gospel reminds us of the power of persistent faith. Even when it seems that our prayers are not being answered, Jesus invites us to continue trusting in Him. The Canaanite woman never gives up — and her unwavering faith becomes a beautiful witness to the trust God asks of each of us.

Are there prayers you have been bringing to God again and again?
How is Jesus inviting you to trust Him, even when the answer doesn't come as you hoped?

Join us for this week's reflection and be encouraged to remain faithful in prayer, trusting that God hears the deepest desires of our hearts.

🙏 Watch, reflect, and share with someone who may need this message of hope today.

Yesterday, students from St. Joachim & Immaculate Conception Churches, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, West Albany, MN, and St. Felix/St. Agnes participated in a Pilgrimage and Day Trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, WI. Upon arrival, students participated in a formal procession up the hill to the Shrine church, where they received a guided tour of the building. After the recitation of the Rosary and the celebration of Mass, the group ate lunch and headed to Riverside Amusement Park for a fun afternoon of mini golf.

The parishes would like to thank Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota for sponsoring this trip through a Seeds of Faith grant, as well as Bluff Country School Bus for coordinating logistics for the trip.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Empress of the Americas, pray for us!

One month ago today, nine students from the parishes traveled to the Mayo Civic Center to participate in the Steubenville-Rochester conference, sponsored by Partnership for Youth. Students attended Mass and adoration, heard talks from a variety of different speakers, and spent time growing in faith and community through games and small groups.

We are again grateful to the many parish organizations who donated money to help our students pay for this conference and Camp Summit. Be sure to mark your calendars for next year's conference which will take place on July 9-11!

With Week 2 of Camp Summit coming to an end yesterday, we wanted to take a moment to recap our students' time at Camp from last week during Week 1. This year, fourteen students from the parishes made the journey to Lanesboro for Camp, three of whom were part of the 9th grade "Dream Team." As you can see, campers were able to take part in a variety of activities, including hiking, rock climbing, and navigating the high ropes course, in addition to growing spiritually through talks, Mass, and adoration.

In all, it was another exciting year at Camp, and we look forward to making the journey again next year!

✨ Weekly Gospel Reflection with Fr. Tom ✨

This week, Fr. Tom reflects on Matthew 14:22–33, where Jesus walks on water and invites Peter to step out of the boat in faith.

In this Gospel, we see how quickly fear can take over when we focus on the storm around us. Yet Jesus reminds Peter — and each of us — to keep our eyes on Him. Even when our faith feels shaky, Christ reaches out His hand and reminds us that He is near.

What storms are you facing in your life?
Where is Jesus asking you to step out in faith and trust Him?

Join us for this week’s reflection and be reminded that no matter what storms we face, Jesus is always there to reach out His hand and steady us.

🙏 Watch, reflect, and share with someone who may need this message of hope today.
