St. Felix and St. Agnes Catholic Parishes are looking to hire Faith Formation Coordinator.
The Faith Formation Coordinator (FF Coordinator) will have administrative responsibilities for the faith formation program for Saint Agnes & Saint Felix parishes, grades K-12. This is a part-time position, averaging 15 hours per week with flexible hours including evening, weekend, and summer hours. This position reports to the Pastor.
Job Description:
• Coordination/administration of the Faith Formation programs for all grades Kindergarten-12, including the direct supervision of the functioning program.
• Coordination/administration of sacramental programs, presently involving First Confession, First Communion, and Confirmation.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents of children in the Faith Formation Program.
• Coordination/administration of the Baccalaureate Mass and reception.
• Recruiting, training, supervision, and evaluation of catechists and other volunteers.
• Managing the Faith Formation office, which includes but is not limited to:
~Development and distribution of the documents to participants, catechists, parents, and parishioners, including the development and distribution of the Faith Formation Calendar and Faith Formation Registration Forms.
~Maintaining required records, including permanent records of programs and participants.
~Developing and providing required documents to the diocese.
~Obtaining VIRTUS certification according to the Diocesan requirements and becoming a VIRTUS facilitator.
• Work collaboratively with:
~Pastor and church leaders on program evaluation and development.
~Pastor on development of youth ministry program.
~School Principal to engage grade school students in faith development and youth ministry.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal Coordinator would have knowledge of and ability to effectively convey the official teaching of the Church with a demonstrated fidelity to these teachings. This person needs to possess the following qualities:
• An active and deep faith.
• Full participation in the communal worship and life of the Church.
• Good interpersonal relationship skills.
• Good rapport with children and youth.
• Good oral and communication skills.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Excel).
• Be collaborative and a team builder.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Maturity, flexibility, and availability on weekends and after school/evening hours is required.
