From community outreach like J1 Cafés to community-building events like Tides games, Summer Suppers, and Family Bay Night, to special ministry opportunities like Hands and Feet SPLASH Sundays in July or CrossCon, to Bible Studies like Men’s Breakfasts and Sunday School classes, and more! Whether you’re a kid, teen, young adult, or adult, there are always tons of opportunities at VBCC to get connected and to grow!

Today, June 8, is Prayer and Fasting Day! 🙏 We kicked it off last night with a sweet time of worship in the sanctuary! 🎵

The sanctuary is open today until 6:30pm for individual or small group prayer! ⛪️

Then TONIGHT at 6:30pm in the sanctuary we will close our day of Prayer & Fasting with a Corporate Prayer Event! 🙏🙏🙏
Come join us at 6:30pm to pray together! We believe it will be a powerful and encouraging time as we go to our Heavenly Father in prayer together! See you tonight!

Do you ever hear about discipleship opportunities like leading a Community Group, being a mentor, studying the Bible with other people and think, “I’m not qualified for that!” Or are you already engaging in those opportunities and can encourage others and add to your practical tools and resources? Disciple-making 101, our summer Sunday School class for adults, begins THIS Sunday morning, June 7! 🎉🎉🎉

Join us at 9:00 AM in Room 4 for an hour of encouraging discussion and training to help one another follow Jesus. This 8-week class will meet throughout the summer! Come learn and be equipped to know Christ and make Him known!

Join us THIS Sunday, June 7 in the sanctuary at 6:30pm for a time of praise and worship to kick off Prayer and Fasting Day!

The sanctuary doors will open the following day, Monday, June 8 at 6:30am for you to come and go as your schedule allows to quiet your heart and pray either alone or with others!

Then we’ll close our 24-hours of prayer and fasting with a Corporate Prayer Event on Monday evening at 6:30pm in the sanctuary! Text an invite to a friend or to your whole community group! We hope to see you there as we worship and pray, interceding for our families, our church, our city, and more!

VBJ1 Volunteer Orientation and Prayer Night is tonight at VBCC from 6-8pm in the Gym! Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or this is your first year serving with VBJ1, we ask that you would attend and help lay a strong foundation for the good work we’ll partner to do this summer!

If you haven’t returned your VBJ1 Welcome Bag yet, good news! You can still fill it up with gifts to bless a J1 student and drop it off at the gym tonight anytime from 6-8pm! 🎉🙏

We can’t wait to see how God will move to call sons and daughters from around the globe this summer, and we feel excited to get to be a part of it together! See you tonight!

COMING IN JULY! For the month of July during our SPLASH worship time on Sunday mornings at 10:30, we will be having mini sports camps! Current kindergarten through 5th graders will have the opportunity to participate in an hour-long program that includes a Bible lesson, skills training and games, small group discussion, and a snack!
It will be a fun way for students to connect, learn, and grow, and we’re really excited! 🎉🏆

Volunteers will be needed each week to assist with roles from coaching to snack prep, check-in, and small group leaders!
If you can volunteer to help (anywhere from one Sunday to all four), complete the volunteer sign-up below! We’d love to have you on the team to work together to make disciples and create a fun, engaging experience for these sweet kids! ⬇️

This Memorial Day we remember with solemn gratitude the men and women who gave their lives in the service of others. Yesterday at the end of our services we had the opportunity to hear personal stories of brave men and women who laid down their lives for others.
It was a powerful and challenging reminder that as Christ-followers we are called to serve, love, and sacrifice as we press on to know Christ and make Him known. 🙏
