Dr. Walter Yoho will bring a message this coming Sunday in 11am Worship about the coming of the Holy Spirit as recorded in Acts and promised by Jesus!

in 10am Bible Study we will study Mark 2:18-28 and discuss how we can honor God by establishing "Rhythms of Life" around proper times for fasting and resting. Key Text:
"He said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath" Mark 2:27-28 (kjv)

Dr. Scott Bashoor from VBTS will be with is to Preach this coming Sunday during the 11 am Worship Assembly. His Sermon Title: "Highways in the Heart: A Pilgrims Prayer from Psalm 84"

In 10am Bible study we will discuss the "Christian Manner of Justice". God wants us to seek justice for others. Christian employers should pay the agreed wages, christian employees should give an honest days work for an honest days pay, and concern should be given to widows and orphans and those less fortunate. They should not be taken advantage of. We should be impartial and not show favoritism. Seek the well-being of others as Jesus did, without partiality.

God called Jonah to call the Ninevites to repentance. He finally did, and when they repented Jonah angrily "pouted" that God had mercy on them. God reminds Jonah that he (Jonah) should be rejoicing instead of pouting! This reminds of what Jesus said in Luke 15... "there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine who need no repentance"
This is the Christian expectation of Grace - We should rejoice when God saves anyone who has been far from Him! Join us at 10am for Bible Study

As God's people are poised to enter the promised land, God urges them to use everyday family moments to talk about how love for God and others should be evident in our relationships. Centuries later, the Pharisees challenge Jesus to interpret Moses words about divorce. Jesus says that if God designed a man and a woman to be united in marriage, serial divorce and remarriage is off the table. Divorce was only permitted by Moses because of human callousness. Join us this Sunday at 10am Bible study as we discuss how God designed families to be a source of strength in our lives.

When the disciples argue about their own greatness, Jesus sets a child in their midst. He tells them they had better welcome and look after little ones. Children can believe in Jesus too, and adults have a responsibility to look after this tiny faith. Harming children is a grave offense to God. Then in Judea, parents bring their children to Jesus to receive a blessing. When the disciples object, Jesus blesses and embraces the children, saying that receiving the kingdom of God “like a little child” is the only way to enter.
