Loving God,
We come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the lives lost and the communities wounded by gun violence.
Bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to those who have been injured, and strength to families carrying pain and fear. Surround children, neighbors, teachers, first responders, and all who live under the shadow of violence with Your protection and peace.
Guide our leaders, communities, and each of us to act with wisdom, courage, and compassion. Help us address anger with understanding, division with unity, and despair with hope. Inspire efforts that protect life, promote justice, and build safer communities for all.
Teach us to be peacemakers in our words and actions. May we never grow indifferent to the suffering of others, but instead become instruments of Your love and reconciliation.
We pray for a future where every person can live without fear, where conflicts are resolved without violence, and where the dignity of every human life is honored.
Grant us Your peace, O God, and help us share that peace with the world.
Amen.

The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ/Second Week after Pentecost

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, we celebrate the True Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

This past week, people from across the diocese had the opportunity to encounter Jesus, fully present in the Eucharist, during the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage’s journey through our diocese.

We pray that all were touched by this experience and their hearts were transformed!

Today, the Church of the Holy Apostles joyfully celebrated the First Holy Communion of our children. We thank God for this beautiful and sacred occasion as they received the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our First Communicants and their families. May this special day strengthen their faith and inspire them to grow ever closer to Jesus throughout their lives.
We are grateful to our clergy, catechists, volunteers, and parish families whose prayers and support helped make this celebration so meaningful.
Please keep our First Communicants in your prayers as they continue their journey of faith.
