Hey everyone!

Just a final reminder that our second faith and film session is this Sunday, May 31 from 5p to 6p! Adults are invited to watch The Shawshank Redemption prior to the session and come ready for discussion!

A few quick updates:

1. We will NOT have childcare available for this session.

2. We will meet in room 145 rather than the Fellowship Hall.

It is always a joyful day when we welcome all of the Beach Day School students and their families into the Sanctuary for the end of year program and Kindergarten graduation. We are so proud of these kiddos for all of their growth and learning this year, and we can't wait for a new school year to begin in September! The building gets way too quiet in the summer without their joyful voices upstairs!

🍦 "Let them eat ice cream!" Our Sojourners shared sweet treats and even sweeter fellowship at Bergey's Breadbasket on 5/19. There's nothing quite like good friends, good laughs, and a little something cold on a sunny day.

We had a great first Theology on Deck last night at Aloha Snacks! Thanks to all who came to listen and learn together. Save the date for the next one on June 23 at 6:30pm with Dr. Jordan Carson talking about finding religion in literature.

LAST CALL FOR FAITH AND FILM!

If you are planning on attending our Faith and Film session on Sunday, May 31, then please sign up on Realm by Thursday, May 21 so that we can get an accurate head count (especially for childcare).

If you are planning on coming, here are several questions to consider before our session:

- How would you explain redemption to someone who doesn’t know what it is?
- How does redemption show up in the movie? What does redemption look like for Andy and Red and their fellow prisoners?
- What do you think the movie is trying to say about redemption? And how does the film’s view of redemption compare to our Christian idea of redemption?

Just a few last minute details if you are joining us for Theology on Deck at Aloha Snacks tonight!

Aloha Snacks is going to be closed to the public tonight and is just opening up for us. They will have a limited menu of poke bowls and plenty of drink options. Doors will open at 6pm and Theology on Deck begins at 6:30pm. Sorry for the late changes! See you tonight!
