LABOR DAY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:

The Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission Office and Dump Sites will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 because of the Labor Day holiday.

Bayou State Waste of Evangeline Parish (garbage trucks) will be running their regularly scheduled garbage routes. Please have your trash out the night before your pickup day.

JULY 4TH HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:

The Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission office will be CLOSED Friday, July 3rd, 2026 for the Independence Day Holiday.

The Dump Sites will be OPEN Friday, July 3rd, 2026. The Ville Platte, Mamou, and Basile Dump Sites will be open from 8am-12pm and the Pine Prairie Dump Site will be open from 8am-5pm. They will be CLOSED Saturday, July 4, 2026 for the Independence Day Holiday.

Bayou State Waste of Evangeline Parish WILL BE RUNNING their trash trucks on Friday, July 3, 2026. Therefore, all garbage routes will be on regular schedule.

Thank you for braving the elements, keeping our enviroment safe, and keeping our community clean! We know that at times this profession can be a thankless job, and we want you to know that we see you and we appreciate all the hard work and countless hours you put into this job. Memorial Day Holiday Schedule:

The Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission office and Dumpster Sites will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day.

Bayou State Waste of Evangeline Parish will run their regularly scheduled routes. Routes will be ran earlier than normal, so please have your garbage out the night before your pick up day.

The Ville Platte, Mamou, & Basile Dump Sites will be closed today from 11:00am-1:00pm for a health insurance meeting. These Dump Sites will be back open today at 1:00pm and remain until 5:00pm.

The Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission is looking for a Part Time Driver for our grapple trucks. This employee would work around 2-3 days a week and have less than 34 hours on their paycheck.

You must have the following to qualify for the job:

- Class B CDL license
- Drug Screen
- Physical
- Background Check

🐣🌷EASTER SCHEDULE🌻🐰

Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission Office and Dumpster Sites will be closed Friday, April 3, 2026 for Good Friday.

The Dumpster Sites will all be opened on Saturday, April 4, 2026 with regular hours. Pine Prairie 8am to 5pm and all other sites 8am to 12pm.

The Pine Prairie Dumpster Site which is usually closed on Wednesdays and opened on Sundays, will be open on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 and they will be closed for Easter Sunday.

There is no change in schedule for regular garbage pickup. Bayou State Waste of Evangeline Parish will be open and their trucks will be running their regular schedule on Good Friday.

Have a safe and blessed Easter Holiday!
