Today's Church has become about entertainment, a hand clap audience, A bling bljng envoirment. Money, Not telling tha truth. Holding back, sugar coating only to not run off the money. the realization of the gospel is getting in tha trenches, Sometimes its no so pretty. We know that sin isn't pretty, its ugly. I often wounder about people that show up to mega Churches that here the same message every week, The same people that are attracted to the speaker rather than what the speaker is saying, They feel like they've really accomplished something. Again, Ministry is dirty, ugly. Its About a dirty homeless person that dosnt know God, its about a 5 time looser that has tattoes all over his head that probably wouldnt be excepted in alot of places. Its about a man that has been molested as a child over and over and over and now he is the one molesting, its about Murders, its about the worst of the worst that will go to hell if we dont show them a different way. The world is full of lost people but yet we go to a mega Church we get our coffee at the coffee shop every week, we are fascinated by the light show, we are so drawn to the pastor because we know he is a celebrity, oh dont forget about his security team that protects him. By tha way, if you want to commit su***de, his secretary say this when you call, " Im sorry, someone will get with you" it never happens because, we are just so mega now, we dont have time to accommodate you. We go to Church with perfect people but we wont have anything to do with ugly people. The question is, are you just listening to what yhe pastor says, is he telling you that must get off of your blessed behind and love people where there at, or do you go and think that by going to Church and clapping and singing songs is your ticket to heaven. It dosnt make sense. People are obvious, They go and talk about Jesus, and quote scripture, everything that comes out of there mouth, oh not to mention the podcast, the camera, the limelight, these very same people will say" when it comes down to a s*x offender they need to burn in Hell. What! So you stop being a Christian when it comes to a crime that you have no idea what is behind tha story. The guy is labeled for life because of what he did. He cant come home, he cant do this, Noone will show him grace because of his sin. You see this is where it becomes very ugly. Did Jesus not die for them too, is there not grace for them, The power of Jesus is for them too. You cant put Jesus in a box and limit his power. I am ashamed of people who stop being a Christian when it comes to a certain crime that yiu know nothing about. You keep on going to Church and feel good about your walk. I have been holding back on this one. This is a reality check for people that go and sit and think thats all you have to do.
