According to John 15:13, laying down one’s life for friends is the greatest expression of love. Two figures have embodied this principle: Jesus Christ, who gave His life for your spiritual redemption, and the American soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for your freedom. Tomorrow is Memorial Day. We thank God for all who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. We are especially thankful for Jesus who laid down his life to free our souls from Hell.
