The enemy doesn’t always kick down the door. Sometimes he just asks for an opening.
Pastor Monte tells the story of a camel that asks to put only its nose inside a traveler’s tent.
Then comes the head.
Then the legs.
Eventually the entire camel is inside—and the owner is pushed out.
In this week’s Rules of Engagement message, Pastor Monte uses that picture to challenge us to recognize how deception and compromise can gradually gain ground when we stop discerning what we allow into our lives.
The question he leaves us with is one worth asking:
“What camel have you allowed to stick its nose in your tent?”
