“Santa Rita, patrona de las causas imposibles, ruega por nosotros.”

Nació como Margherita Lotti en 1381 en Italia y es conocida como la santa patrona de:

* Las causas imposibles
* Los matrimonios difíciles
* Las víctimas de abuso
* Las situaciones desesperadas

Su vida estuvo marcada por un profundo sufrimiento y perdón:

* Soportó un matrimonio abusivo.
* Después de que su esposo fuera asesinado, perdonó a los responsables.
* Más tarde se convirtió en monja agustina, dedicada a la oración y la caridad.

Un símbolo famoso asociado con ella es una herida en la frente, que, según la tradición, provino de una espina de la corona de Cristo durante una experiencia mística de oración.

“Saint Rita, patroness of impossible causes, pray for us.”

She was born Margherita Lotti in 1381 in Italy and is known as the patron saint of:

* Impossible causes
* Difficult marriages
* Abuse victims
* Hopeless situations

Her life included profound suffering and forgiveness:

* She endured an abusive marriage.
* After her husband was murdered, she forgave those responsible.
* She later became an Augustinian nun devoted to prayer and charity.

A famous symbol associated with her is a wound on her forehead, said to have come from a thorn of Christ’s crown during mystical prayer.
