Group - this past Sunday, May 3rd, we gathered as a parish family to place a crown of flowers upon the image of Our Lady in a beautiful tradition that the Church has celebrated for centuries — the May Crowning.

In this simple and tender act, we honored Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth, acknowledging her unique role in God's plan of salvation. As the month of May belongs in a special way to Our Blessed Mother, we offered her our love, our prayers, and our intentions — trusting that she carries them straight to the heart of her Son.

Mary's entire life was one of faithful "yes" to God. From the Annunciation to the foot of the Cross, she never wavered. In crowning her, we do not merely celebrate a tradition — we renew our own commitment to follow her example: to love Jesus completely, to serve humbly, and to trust God in all things.

We are so grateful to all who participated and helped make this moment of prayer and beauty possible. May Our Lady intercede for our parish, our families, and our community throughout this Easter season and always.

"Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope."

Group – St. Nicholas CCD has ended for the year. Our final class was April 29, followed by a potluck. We served over 120 people, and some pictures are provided of that fun day. There is also one more group picture of our Confirmands with Bishop Hanefeldt, Fr. Antony, and Fr. Neal. (Hat tip to Becky S. for the photo).

A huge thank you to these groups: our students and their families for making religious education classes a priority; our support staff that helped monitor the children and provide meals every Wednesday; and to our teachers, listed below, for their hard work and commitment.

• Karen Keller (DRE)
• Shaniya Albertus
• Alena Arendt
• Emily Bukaske
• Ashleigh Danielski
• Samantha Hand
• Angie Jordan

Group – today is the Fifth Sunday of Easter. In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks these words on the night before He dies — not from a place of ease, but from the very edge of the cross. And still, His first concern is for us. For our hearts.

He doesn't say "don't be troubled because everything will be easy." He says "don't be troubled, because I am here." The peace He offers isn't the absence of difficulty — it's the presence of a Person.

This Easter season, we celebrate a risen Lord who has already conquered the worst the world could throw at Him. If the tomb couldn't hold Him, what trouble could possibly have the final word?

Let us bring our worried heart to Mass today. Lay it at His feet.

He means these words for us.

Group - Congratulations to our Confirmands!

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, our confirmands received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the hands of Bishop Joseph Hanefeldt. What a beautiful and grace-filled day! (Blake Lancaster received the Sacrament on Easter Vigil ~ April 4, 2026)

To our newly confirmed: may the gifts of the Holy Spirit strengthen and guide you as you continue your journey of faith. You are a blessing to our parish family.

To their parents and sponsors: thank you for walking alongside them and nurturing their faith. Your witness matters more than you know.

Group - today, April 26, is the Fourth Sunday of Easter — Good Shepherd Sunday. In the Gospel, Jesus doesn't just promise to guide us. He promises to save us.

The gate isn't a barrier; it's an invitation. To enter through Christ is to find safety, freedom, and nourishment for our souls. In a world full of noise pulling us in every direction, what a gift to know the Gate that leads to true life.

Today, let's pause and ask: am I entering through Him — in prayer, in the sacraments, in the way I treat others?

May we always follow the Shepherd who gave His life for His sheep.

Group - today, April 19th, is the Third Sunday of Easter. The disciples on the road to Emmaus didn't recognize the Risen Lord walking beside them — not until the breaking of the bread.

How often is He walking with us, and we don't see Him?

This Easter season, may we pay attention to the burning — in prayer, in Scripture, in the Eucharist, in the stranger who walks alongside us.

The Risen Christ is closer than we think.
