Why is Easter important? …because it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolizing hope, renewal, forgiveness, and the foundation of Christian faith and salvation.

If you don’t have plans tomorrow morning, you’re invited to breakfast beginning at 8:30, adult and children’s Sunday School at 9:30, and Worship service at 11:00. All are welcome, believer and unbeliever alike. 💜 ✝️

A solemn and yet hopeful Tenebrae service for Good Friday.

On Good Friday, we remember love shown through sacrifice, and find hope even in sorrow.

Our memory verse for this week (Mar 30 - Apr 5):

“So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?” (John 18:11 ESV)

This is a powerful declaration of surrender to the Father’s will. Even in the face of suffering, Christ does not resist but embraces the path laid before Him, trusting fully in God’s purpose. This challenges us to consider whether we accept God’s will only when it is easy, or also when it is costly. True discipleship is found in learning to trust the Father’s hand, even when it leads us through difficulty.

Our memory verse for this week (Mar 23-29):

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:” (1 Peter 4:10 ESV)

Every believer has received a gift from God, not for personal recognition, but for faithful stewardship. Peter reminds us that these gifts are meant to serve others, reflecting the grace of God in its many forms. When we use what God has entrusted to us, we become channels through which His grace flows into the lives of others. Today, consider how you might intentionally use your God-given abilities to build up the body of Christ and glorify Him.

Our memory verse for this week (Mar 16-22):

“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,” (1 Peter 4:1, ESV)

Peter is reminding believers that Christ’s suffering was not only redemptive but also instructive. Because Christ suffered in the flesh, we are called to “arm” ourselves with the same mindset—one that values obedience to God above personal comfort. When a believer is willing to endure hardship for righteousness, it reflects a heart that has turned away from the domination of sin. Suffering, then, becomes a refining tool that strengthens our resolve to live faithfully for God rather than for the desires of the flesh.

Our memory verse for this week (Mar 9-15):

“For Christ also suffered[a] once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,” (1 Peter 3:18, ESV)

Jesus' sacrifice was not merely an example of suffering, but the decisive act that reconciles sinners to a holy God. Though He was put to death in the body, He was made alive in the Spirit, demonstrating that suffering and death never have the final word in God’s redemptive plan. Because Christ has opened the way to God, believers can live with confidence, knowing their salvation rests fully in His finished work.

Our memory verse for this week (Mar 2-8):

“but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,” (1 Peter 3:15, ESV)

Peter commands believers to “sanctify Christ as Lord” in their hearts before they ever open their mouths in defense of the faith. Christ enthroned internally produces clarity and courage externally. When our hope is firmly anchored in the risen Christ, we are prepared to articulate a reasoned defense, yet we do so with gentleness and reverence rather than arrogance. A heart rightly ordered under Christ will yield a witness that is both theologically sound and relationally compelling.

Our memory verse for this week (Feb 23 - Mar 1):

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” (1 Peter 3:8, ESV)

In this verse, Peter is telling believers they are called to virtues that reflect the character of Christ Himself. This verse reminds us that Christian maturity is not measured merely by doctrinal correctness, but by relational holiness viewed within the covenant community. Unity, or one-mindedness, does not require uniformity; rather, it demands a shared submission to the lordship of Christ that produces compassion and humility toward one another. As you walk this week, ask the Lord to shape your heart so that your attitudes toward fellow believers visibly adorn the gospel you profess.

Our memory verse for this week (Feb 16-22):

“Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you[a] of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.” (1 Peter 3:7, ESV)

Peter calls husbands to live with their wives “in an understanding way,” grounding marital leadership not in dominance but in thoughtful, Christlike stewardship. Peter elevates the wife as a “fellow heir of the grace of life,” affirming equal standing before God. To “show honor” is to assign weight and value, reflecting the gospel itself, where Christ honors His bride, the church, at the cost of His own blood. When a husband fails to love with knowledge and honor, even his prayers are hindered, reminding us that our vertical communion with God is inseparably tied to our horizontal obedience at home.
