"This saying is trustworthy. I want you to insist on these things, so that those who believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works." - Titus 3:8

Doing the right thing isn’t always the easiest choice, especially when others around you choose shortcuts, compromise or what seems most advantageous.

As followers of Christ, we are called to pursue goodness, integrity and moral excellence in every situation. True character is revealed when we choose what is right even when nobody else does.

Don’t let culture define your standards. Let your identity in Christ guide the way you compete, lead and live.

How does knowing your identity in Christ help you choose goodness?

"I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete." - John 15:11

Outworking others matters—but don’t overlook this: joy.

Joy isn’t based on wins or losses—it’s rooted in Christ.

“The fruit of the Spirit is… joy…” — Galatians 5:22-23

When your joy comes from Him, it changes how you compete. It lifts your performance, impacts your team, and points others to the Source.

Don’t just compete hard—compete with joy.

"He also said, 'Truly, I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.'" - Luke 4:24
Sometimes the loudest doubt comes from the closest places.

“No prophet is accepted in his hometown.” — Luke 4:24

Jesus experienced it—and so will we.

When others rise, it’s easy to question, compare, or criticize. But as followers of Christ, we’re called to do the opposite: encourage, support, and trust God’s plan.

And if you’re the one stepping into something bigger—don’t let the crowd define you.

Stay grounded in His voice.

Celebrate others. Stay rooted in Him.

"That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as they are one." - John 17:21-22

Fitting In

Ever felt like you don’t belong on your team? Is the circle of friends impossible to break into?

You’re not alone—and there’s hope.

Jesus is the ultimate Coach. He sees you for who you are, equips you with what you need, and ensures you belong. When you fit in with Him, you no longer have to chase acceptance from others. You’re part of His team forever, united with other believers, with one goal: to glorify God.

Go:
1. When have you struggled to fit in? How did you try to belong?
2. How does Jesus help you find your place in His team?

Workout Scripture: 1 Thess 2:12 | Romans 8:28 | Romans 12:5

Overtime Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for letting me fit into Your family. I trust You, I love You, and I want to participate fully in Your team. Amen.”

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable - if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy - dwell on these things." - Philippians 4:8

What’s Lovely & Commendable

Elite athletes watch what they eat—
because what they consume shapes how they perform.

The same is true for your mind.

Every thought is fuel.
It either feeds fear… or strengthens faith.

Comparison. Criticism. Negativity—
they drain you.

But gratitude. Encouragement. Truth—
they restore you.

Paul had every reason to dwell on the negative—
yet he chose what was lovely and commendable.

Why? Because what you dwell on determines how you recover.

So ask yourself:
What are you feeding your mind today?

Choose what builds you.
Choose what steadies you.
Choose what restores you.

Point Back.

You’ve seen it—a fast break, a perfect pass, an easy bucket… and then the back point.

A simple gesture that says: “I see you.”

That’s what Paul does in Romans 16—he points back. Name after name, honoring the people who helped carry the mission forward.

Great teams don’t forget. Great leaders don’t either.

Today, take a moment to point back—

Text them. Call them. Thank them.

I see you for seeing me.
