And please, don’t feel the need to pretend about anything. We started The Porch Community Church in 2019 as a place for people to explore faith within community. Everyone is welcome here, whatever your story, your questions, doubts or struggles. So come as you are, because that’s where God meets us — as is. From there, we’ll help each other grow to be all God intended us to be.

Even though we aren’t in the direct path of this storm, we know it may bring feelings of anxiety and flashbacks to Hurricane Idalia. For many in our community, those memories still feel close.

You don’t have to wait for the storm to pass to have peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and He’s right there with you in it. Whatever you’re feeling today, you can bring it to Him.

Please join us in praying for everyone in the storm’s direct path—for protection, for strength, and for the first responders preparing to serve.

Our worship team has a great set of songs ready as we lift our voices and exalt Jesus. Pastor Shannon will continue Puzzling Passages with Week 3, and we’ll share in the sacrament of Communion together.

Starting Tonight: Trekking Light—Trauma & Grief Renewal & Support Group

Find Strength. Find Hope. Find Community.

Join Terri Hutchison, LCPC, tonight, October 1, from 6:30–8:00 PM at The Porch as we begin a seven-week support group meeting every Thursday.

This welcoming, judgment-free space is open to anyone navigating grief, trauma, depression, or emotional heaviness. Gatherings offer faith-centered conversation, compassionate support, and uplifting activity nights every other week. You don’t have to walk through this season alone.

Rooted in faith. Grounded in compassion. Open to all.
