“From my window view on God’s Creation” (Pastor Melissa)

This morning on my walk, came across trash lying on a pristine green ground area. Fortunately there was not a lot of trash scattered but the scene reminded me that we pray “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name” and then we trash His name with our sins.
On the second round, was able to pick up trash items with gripper, put into a trash bag and dispose of properly. The trash may not have been thrown there on purpose – may have fallen off the sanitation truck, blown out of a vehicle or from someone’s trash bins, etc. But the net effect was the same – it did not hallow the setting. Even more so our sins whether intentional or otherwise trash God’s name and His creation.
Dear Lord, help us to always be mindful of hallowing Your name. May the Holy Spirit continuously convict us of our sins so that we may seek Your forgiveness disposing of them properly. Thank You for Your beautiful creation and for walking with us throughout our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“From my window view on God’s Creation” (Pastor Melissa)

A sweet, beautiful church member gave me an Amaryllis for Christmas. After it quit blooming, I took a chance on planting the bulb outside. Wow, did God ever surprise me with this amazing beauty that reminds me of the even more beautiful Trinity – God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!

The bulb was actually ugly and dead looking which reminds me of one of my favorite hymns – Hymn of Promise. A link to hear is provided below. To the world we may look like an ugly bulb but once we place our trust in Jesus Christ, we can become “something God alone can see.” If you have not trusted in Jesus Christ, my prayer is that you will during this amazing time of “something God alone can see.”
