Across our Diocese, at 12:00pm noon (central time) tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, after our Deacon Ordination, let’s all take time to join Pope Leo XIV in Praying the Rosary for Peace in the World.

According to the Vatican News
To accompany his constant calls for peace in the world, Pope Leo XIV will lead the prayer of the Holy Rosary, tomorrow evening, Saturday, May 30, 7:00pm Rome time (12pm noon central time) from the Vatican Gardens. The Holy Father, Pope Leo, will lead the faithful in Shrines around the world in praying the Joyful Mysteries, with each decade being dedicated specifically for those affected by war and violence and entrusting them to the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace.

Joyful Mysteries Being Prayed
As explained and listed from the Vatican News report, here’s how the Joyful Mysteries will be prayed:

First Mystery prays for the victims of war, especially the most vulnerable.

Second Mystery is for those who bring words of hope and the comfort of faith to populations affected by war.

Third Mystery recalls the medical and paramedical personnel and volunteers who bring humanitarian aid every day.

Fourth Mystery prays for those who suffer the violence of war, for prisoners and for all who endure humiliations that violate human dignity.

Fifth Mystery and final Joyful Mystery is dedicated to praying for an end to war and the establishment of lasting peace in the world.

It was a joyful Holy Mass and the Sacrament of Confirmation, this morning during the Fourth Week of Easter, Saturday, May 2, at our beautiful Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City Church that included St. Jude, Martin, Confirmands and their families.

Bishop David P. Talley was Celebrant and Homilist, with Father Carl Gregorich, Pastor, as Concelebrant. Deacons, Altar Servers, Lectors, the Cantor provided excellent assistance, and the Music was wonderful.

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is sealed with “the Gift of the Holy Spirit” and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.

Many blessings and congratulations to the 12 Immaculate Conception, Union City, and St. Jude, Martin, Confirmands.

Last year, in 2025, more than 1,000 junior high school students and some adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation across our Diocese from Bishop David P. Talley at about 50 Holy Masses across our beautiful churches.

He is Risen! Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia! All Glory to God!
