Yesterday, I had the privilege of traveling from Tyler, TX, to Orlando, FL, to baptize my niece, Emily Grace Diaz! 💧🙌 There is nothing more beautiful than seeing someone choose to follow Jesus and go public with their faith.

💧 WHY DO WE GET BAPTIZED?
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples and baptize them.
Matthew 28:19 (NLT)
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
In Acts 2:38, Peter calls people to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus.
Acts 2:38 (NLT)
“Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.”
Baptism is an act of obedience to Jesus and a public declaration of our faith in Him. It doesn’t save us; we are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus. Baptism is our way of saying, “I have decided to follow Jesus, and I’m not ashamed to let the world know!”
If you have put your faith in Jesus but have never been baptized, take that next step! Follow Jesus in obedience and go public with your faith. 🙌💧
