Celebrating Partnerships That Change Lives
Lutheran Counseling and Family Services
Lutheran Counseling and Family Services of Wisconsin is deeply grateful to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League for its extraordinary commitment to children and families in our communities. We are honored to have received both a 2025 LWML National Mission Grant and a 2026 South Wisconsin District LWML grant to support Christian mental health services for children.
These grants represent far more than financial support. They are an investment in children who need hope, healing, and someone to walk alongside them during difficult times. Because of LWML's generosity and the generosity of our Lutheran community more children have access to professional, Christ-centered counseling regardless of their family's financial circumstances.
As the need for children's mental health services continues to grow, so does LCFS’s vision. Our hope is to expand further into communities where children and families have little or no access to Christian counseling, bringing compassionate, evidence-based care directly to those who need it most, starting with a location at the SOS Center in Milwaukee and with plans to expand to Milwaukee’s vibrant 16th Street corridor.
LCFS also had the privilege of exhibiting at the recent LCMS Synodical Convention, where we connected with hundreds of pastors, church leaders, and other called workers from across the country. Throughout the convention, we distributed hundreds of practical resources on su***de crisis response, internet safety, and human trafficking awareness, equipping congregations to better care for those they serve. If your congregation or ministry could benefit from any of these resources, please contact Kris Freeman, Director of Outreach and Mission Advancement at [email protected] or call 414-536-8333.
