This Sunday at Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church we continue our journey through Romans as we open Romans 8:23–30; a passage filled with hope for weary hearts.

Have you ever felt the weight of living in a broken world?
Ever wondered why we still struggle, groan, wait, and hurt even as believers?

In these verses, we will see that as Christians, we are people who groan but not without hope.

We groan because this world is not our home.
We wait because redemption is coming.
We trust because God is working even when we cannot see it.
And we rest in this glorious truth: those whom God calls, He keeps.

We will walk see some comforting promises that God is not wasting your suffering, your waiting, or your weakness. The God who saved you is carrying you all the way to glory.

Come ready to open God’s Word, worship deeply, and be reminded that our hope is not in this present world, but in the sure promises of Christ.

“Those whom He justified He also glorified.” Romans 8:30

Join us this Sunday as we continue through Romans 8 with a sermon titled:

“Groaning Toward Glory”
Romans 8:18–22

In a world filled with suffering, weariness, and uncertainty, God’s Word reminds us that the groaning is not the end of the story.

This week we will walk verse by verse through Romans 8:18–22 and see:
• Why creation groans
• Why believers still struggle
• How suffering shapes us
• Why worship matters deeply
• And how future glory in Christ changes everything today

This message is for the weary, the hopeful, the struggling, and the growing believer.

Come worship with us as we gather around God’s Word, pray together, sing together, and lift our eyes to Christ together.

“The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
— Romans 8:18
