A few weeks ago, this group had the opportunity to walk through Potter’s Wheel 1 together. 🙏

Potter’s Wheel is all about allowing God to transform the way we see ourselves, our relationships, our emotions, and ultimately, Him. Throughout Potter’s Wheel 1, we learned more about what it means to bear the image of God, how that image has been impacted by sin, and how God restores what has been broken.

There’s something powerful about understanding who God created us to be and letting Him continue shaping us along the way. 🏺✨

✨ Discipline With a Purpose ✨

Church discipline can sound harsh, but Paul presents it as something meant to restore—not simply punish.

Sometimes being removed from community for a season can expose the power sin has in our lives and create space for real repentance. If that pain turns someone back toward Jesus, then even the hard season can become redemptive. 🙏

The goal is always restoration.
The goal is always reconciliation.
The goal is always Jesus.

✨ Becoming More Like Jesus ✨

Choosing to put others before ourselves isn’t always easy. Sometimes it costs us comfort, time, or convenience—but every time we choose selflessness, we become a little more like Christ.

Jesus gave us the ultimate example. He laid down His life so we could be restored to God, receive the Holy Spirit, and live differently.

The goal isn’t simply to be “better people.”
The goal is to become more like Jesus. 🙏

✨ Invest in What Lasts ✨

It’s easy to get consumed by what feels urgent right now—the headlines, politics, opinions, and problems of the day.

But Scripture calls us to lift our eyes and remember what will actually matter in eternity.

The people we love.
The people we point to Jesus.
The lives we help grow in faith.

One day, so much of what feels important now will fade away. But the impact we make for the Kingdom will last forever. 🙏

Let’s spend our time, energy, and influence on what has eternal value.

✨ Keep the Cross at the Center ✨

There is no version of Christianity that moves beyond the cross.

The cross isn’t the starting point we eventually graduate from—it’s the lens through which we understand Scripture, Jesus, and the Christian life itself.

If we want to know what righteousness looks like, what humility looks like, or how a follower of Jesus should live, we look to Christ carrying the cross to Golgotha. ✝️

The way of Jesus is not about chasing power, status, or strength. It’s about becoming like the One who gave Himself for us.

Keep the cross at the center. Always.
