Our deepest condolences to our St. Mark’s family. May God guide Father John home to Him, and may His grace bring healing and comfort to our communities during this time. We hold one another close in prayer.
Most of you have already heard the news and it has, honestly, taken us a minute to process what has happened today. For those who haven’t heard, we are saddened to share with our parish family the news that Father John entered into eternal life on June 18, 2026.
Father John faithfully served God and His people with a generous heart, unwavering faith, and deep compassion. Through his ministry, he touched countless lives by celebrating the sacraments, proclaiming the Gospel, offering comfort in times of sorrow, and sharing in the joys and milestones of our community. His priesthood was a living witness to Christ's love and mercy.
For many of us, Father John was more than our pastor; he was a spiritual father, trusted friend, and compassionate shepherd. He listened with patience, encouraged with kindness, and inspired others through his humble example of service. His dedication to our parish and his love for each member of our community will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
While our hearts are extremely heavy with grief, we find comfort in the promise of the Resurrection and the hope that Father John now rests in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. As people of faith, we commend his soul to God's infinite mercy and give thanks for the gift of his life and vocation. Please keep Father John, his family, brother priests, and all who mourn his passing in your prayers.
This picture was taken just a few 17 days ago, on his birthday. We celebrated him just like he deserved, with food. 🥹
Additional information regarding funeral arrangements and opportunities for prayer and remembrance will be shared as it becomes available.
May you rest in peace, Fr. John. You will be infinitely missed. 💔
