Why Gospel Community? Following Jesus was never meant to be something we do alone. Throughout the New Testament, we see believers gathering together to worship, pray, encourage one another, share life, care for one another’s needs, and grow together in the gospel. In Acts 2:42–47, we see a beaut...

After the promise of an heir, Abraham heads south and again compromises the plan of God. What do we see? That God can overcome our fears with His faithfulness!

🙏 Each month we choose one our partners or local needs to pray for. With school gearing up again, our prayer focus for August is our Lincoln County R-III Schools as well as our private schools and homeschool families.

“Pray for our schools.”

1. Pray for the Students — Protection, Wisdom & Salvation

Pray for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of students in our local public and private schools. Ask God to protect them from harm and harmful influences, give them wisdom and good friends, and place faithful Christians around them who will point them toward Christ.

Pray: “Lord, protect our students, give them wisdom, surround them with good influences, and draw many of them to saving faith in Jesus.”

2. Pray for Teachers & Administrators — Wisdom, Integrity & Strength

Pray for teachers, principals, counselors, coaches, and other school staff. Ask God to give them wisdom as they teach and lead, patience and strength for the demands of their work, and integrity in how they care for and influence students. Pray especially for Christian teachers to have courage and opportunities to live out their faith faithfully.

Pray: “Lord, give our teachers and school leaders wisdom, patience, integrity, and strength. Help Christian staff to be faithful witnesses for Christ.”

3. Pray for the Schools — Peace, Righteousness & Gospel Opportunity

Pray for God to bring peace and order to our schools and to protect them from violence, division, bullying, and other destructive influences. Pray that our schools would be places where truth, justice, dignity, and compassion are valued—and that God would open doors for the gospel to be known through Christian students, teachers, families, and churches.

Pray: “Lord, bring peace and righteousness to our schools, protect them from evil, and use our churches and Christian families to make Christ known.”

Praise God for His faithfulness!

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

Yesterday we witnessed Mike’s bold profession of faith in Jesus through baptism! AND welcomed Gordon and Pam as covenant members at Redeemer.

We are so humbled and honor to be a part of the kingdom of God.

What if God hasn’t forgotten you?

This Sunday in Genesis 19:27–29, we’ll see that God remembered Abraham—and that simple truth is incredibly encouraging.

Maybe you’ve prayed and wondered, “Does God hear me? Has He forgotten me? Why hasn’t He answered?”

The good news is that God never forgets His people. His faithfulness isn’t dependent upon our feelings or circumstances. Because He is faithful to Himself, we can trust Him to hear our prayers and accomplish His purposes—even when we struggle to believe.

Come worship with us this Sunday as we are reminded that God remembers His people.

Open Your Home. Build Community. Point People to Christ.

One of the greatest ways we can cultivate gospel-centered community at Redeemer is by opening our homes to one another.

For the 2026–27 year, we will have three Gospel Communities meeting twice each month in homes throughout our church family. These groups are designed to grow together through fellowship, discipleship, prayer, and gospel friendship.

We are looking for Host Homes—families or individuals who are willing to provide a welcoming space where people can gather, share a meal, build friendships, pray together, and encourage one another in following Jesus.
