**Obvious Faith!
Every once in a while we encounter someone that doesn’t have to act Christian or ask for prayer or ask if they can pray, their faith is simply obvious.
In Luke 13:10–13 we find a woman whose faith was unannounced but very obvious.
Even though she was disabled and in pain she is not looking for Jesus to perform a miracle. She is simply demonstrating her faith through worship.
Jesus was in the church teaching when He noticed her. A disabled woman who had been crippled for eighteen years.
What strikes me most is that the passage never says she called out to Jesus. She didn’t ask Him to heal her. There is no indication that she even knew Jesus would be there that day. She simply came to worship God.
I believe there is a powerful lesson in that. Her faith was not dependent upon receiving something. Her worship made her faith obvious. Eighteen years of suffering had not caused her to stop praising God. Her faith was not diminished.
In the middle of her praise and worship Jesus noticed her.
Jesus didn’t wait on her to ask for a miracle. He called to her, laid His hands on her, and immediately she was healed. She straightened up, and the first thing she did was glorify God.
“Immediately she straightened up and glorified God.” — Luke 13:13
Her response tells us something beautiful about genuine faith. She didn’t worship God because He had healed her; she had already been worshiping Him. Jesus did heal her and her response was to worship louder and glorify him more.
I want to encourage you with that truth. Don’t allow your circumstances, your physical limitations, or the things you cannot change to keep your faith bottled up, and waiting for a miracle. Your faith filled worship matters, even when you don’t understand why things don’t change. Obvious faith keeps on showing up, keeps praising, keeps worshiping.
So, let your faith be obvious despite your circumstances.
Let your praise and worship be seen and whatever comes, let your life say, “I will glorify God.”
