This summer, four college students from Garber Church — Simon, Sarah, Landon, and Jacob — will serve as summer staffers with Appalachia Service Project. They will shepherd hundreds of volunteers, build meaningful relationships in the communities they serve, and love the families whose homes are repaired, they make a lasting impact for God’s Kingdom. As they lead and serve with compassion, we celebrate the ways God will work through their hands and hearts this summer. Please pray for these young folks as they will serve in KY, WV and VA beginning next week through early August.

Lord, we pray for Simon, Sarah, Landon, and Jacob as they begin this season of service. Strengthen them, guide them, and fill them with Your love so that everyone they encounter will see Christ through them. Amen.

This weekend our Garber Scout Troops placed American Flags at the New Bern National Cemetery in memory of our service men and women that we honor this Memorial Day.
