On this Father’s Day, we offer our sincere gratitude for the many expressions of fatherhood that bless our families, congregations, and communities.

We honor fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, uncles, brothers, guardians and all who embody a fathering presence through love, affirmation, encouragement, guidance, integrity, compassion, and care. We celebrate each of you on Father’s Day and pray the day will be special for you.

We also recognize that this day holds a range of emotions. We lift in prayer those who grieve, those who long for connection, those who have lost fathers and children, and those whose experiences of fatherhood are complex or painful. May God’s abiding presence and love bring comfort, healing, and peace.

On behalf of American Baptist Churches USA, we extend deep appreciation for your witness and wisdom. We give thanks for you and for the many ways your lives reflect God’s love. May you be strengthened and renewed and may the love you share continue to reflect God’s enduring grace.

Today we celebrate 🎉 Pastor Janet Evans Crowl in the start of her retirement. She has been a gracious leader, mentor, and friend to so many people. Thank you for for time here at First Baptist Church - Topeka. Words can not express our gratitude and joy for all that you do!

Enjoy this next chapter in your life. We hope you get some rest and take some time to relax and enjoy it all! This is your best chapter yet! Here's to the fish biting on all your lines! 🎣

Pastor Janet hosted Gameday with the 55+ group. Lunch was provided and fun was had by all. And of course everyone left with PRIZES!

Thank you for leading our 55+ group Pastor Janet. Bible Study, Dinners out, Putt-Putt, Theater and shows, KC Royals and KC Chiefs Stadium tours, museums, and church tours, and so much more. This group has had a lot of fun and it shows! Thanks for being such an amazing leader for this amazing group!

Our church hosted the American Baptist Women's Summer Conference over the weekend. Over 100 ladies came and enjoyed the weekend with fellowship, crafts, Bible story telling, choirs and more. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
