We’ve had the best couple of days at VBS! 🙌 Days 3 & 4 were packed with unforgettable moments—kids lifting their voices in worship, crushing their Scripture memory verses, and having an absolute blast running their way to the finish line! 🏁

None of this would be possible without our phenomenal adult and youth volunteers who have poured so much love and energy into this week. Thank you for leading the way! ❤️

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ VBS Day 2: Training for the Race! 🏅

Another fantastic day of Vacation Bible School is in the books! Our memory verse today came from 1 Corinthians 9:24: “Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

The children learned that athletes don't just show up on race day—they train and prepare. During Bible study with Pastor Matthew in the chapel, we explored Paul's ministry in the city of Corinth and discovered why Paul compared following Jesus to running a race.

We talked about spiritual disciplines—the habits that help us grow closer to God and strengthen our faith. The kids learned that prayer, Bible study, and loving kindness are ways we train our hearts to follow Jesus every day.

Of course, there was plenty of fun too! We learned a new theme song, "Glorious Day," with LOTS of dancing and energy, created colorful flags to cheer one another on in the race of faith, and put our training to the test by completing an obstacle course.
Today reminded us that following Jesus isn't something we do by accident—it takes practice, perseverance, and encouragement from one another.

Tomorrow we'll continue our journey as we learn how to stay focused on Jesus and keep going, even when the race gets difficult!

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ VBS Day 1: Running Toward the Prize!! 🏅

What an exciting first day of Vacation Bible School! Our theme verse was, “Christ Jesus took hold of me” (Philippians 3:12).

The kids spent the day singing and dancing, making crafts, enjoying snacks, and even creating a special craft by placing their hands and feet in wet cement. Most importantly, we spent time in Bible Study learning about Acts 9:1–22 and the story of Paul's conversion.

The kids learned that Saul was running in the wrong direction until Jesus met him on the road to Damascus and changed his life forever. Through Paul's story, we discovered that God pursues us with grace, invites us into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and transforms our hearts so that we can follow him.

Tomorrow, our sports-themed VBS continues as we talk about Spiritual Training—how we can prepare our hearts to follow Jesus every day. We can't wait to see everyone back for Day 2!

We are moving into Week 3 of our series, and today Pastor Matthew Wilke is bringing a powerful message: "Renovation of the Heart!" Looking at Acts 3:1-12, we’ll see how the Holy Spirit transformed fearful disciples into courageous witnesses. The best part? That exact same Spirit is at work inside of us today—giving us the courage, wisdom, and love we need to navigate a challenging world. God isn't done doing a renovation project in our hearts.

Are you ready for what He wants to do this morning? See you soon!
