A BIG Thank You to the church saints and the City of Toledo for clearing the storm drain and removing debris from the overgrown ditch. We were a little stressed trying to figure out how to fix the problem but when we returned today the work had been completed!
This reminds me of what Jesus told us: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29
We need not worry, but follow Jesus and our burdens will be lifted.

Our Church memory verse for the month is Romans 10:9-10
This is the clearest verse in the New Testament regarding salvation and we must know this verse by heart to share with those who have questions.
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear" 1 Peter 3:15

God gave us a “strong consolation” of our salvation by the immutable death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to anchor us during life’s storms. Our hope not only anchors us from storms, it also “preserves us from losing the headway which we have made” (Spurgeon, A Sermon, No. 1294).

Let us believe God’s promises and not waiver in our faith, nor let life’s storms hinder our progress toward eternity. Let our hope anchor us. Hebrews 6:13-20
