Don't Quit Before the Harvest
Galatians 6:9
'And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.'
There are moments in life when quitting feels like the most reasonable option.
The work is hard, the results are slow, and your energy is running low.

Maybe you have been serving faithfully for years and wonder if it is making any difference at all.
You are not alone in that feeling.
The Apostle Paul knew what exhaustion felt like.

He was beaten, shipwrecked, and imprisoned.
Yet he kept going. Not because conditions were favorable, but because his calling came from God, not from His circumstances.

That is the foundation we have to build on.
When we serve because God is worthy, our motivation does not rise and fall with our emotions or our results.

We stay in the field because the harvest is coming, even when we cannot see it yet.

Galatians 6:9 is not just an encouraging thought.
It is a promise. God guarantees the harvest for those who refuse to give up.

That means your faithfulness right now, even when it feels invisible, is never wasted.
You are planting seeds that will one day break through the ground. Keep going.

Question Is
What area of your life have you been tempted to quit, and what would it look like to trust God with the outcome instead of walking away?

Lord, when weariness sets in, remind me that You are faithful to complete what You have started.

On this Labor Day, we pause to reflect on the sacred rhythm of work and rest that God Himself established at the dawn of creation.
After shaping the heavens and the earth, God rested, not because He was weary, but to show us the holy necessity of stepping back.

Work is a profound act of stewardship, a way we honor Him with our talents and time, but rest is a profound act of trust.

​When we lay down our tools and quiet our minds, we declare that our ultimate provision comes not from our own exhausted efforts, but from the hands of our Heavenly Father.

It is in these deliberate moments of pause that we remember we are deeply anchored in His love.

No matter how demanding the season or how fierce the storms of life may become, His presence remains our steady refuge and our quiet harbor.

​As you observe this holiday, take time to celebrate the fruits of your labor and the strength God provides you each day.

Whether you are gathering with loved ones, enjoying a quiet afternoon of reflection, or simply taking a deep breath away from the usual grind, may your spirit find true and lasting renewal.

​Please stay safe in whatever activities you have planned today, leaning on His wisdom and protection in all your goings and comings.

And stay blessed, keeping your heart open to the quiet whispers of grace He offers when we finally take the time to simply be still.

​Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of work and the deep blessing of rest.

Renew our strength today.
Keep us safe in Your care, anchor our hearts in Your peace, and let us carry Your light into whatever situation awaits us.

Changing Your Perspective
Psalm 46:8-9 "Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire."

If your problems are looking big and your God is looking small, you are looking at God through the wrong end of the binoculars.

The Psalmist invites us to "Come and see" what the Lord has done.
He tells the story of how God responded to Hezekiah’s faith by defeating the greatest army in the known world without Hezekiah ever having to lift a single finger.

God took an impossible situation, wiped out the enemy, and worked an absolute miracle—so much so that surrounding nations sent ambassadors to witness the King whom God had fought for.

Do you remember the last time God came through for you?
When He turned your mourning into joy?

Today, take a moment to change your perspective. Stop magnifying the threat and start magnifying your Defender.
See how big your God truly is.

Prayer:
Lord, I want to see You clearly today.
Flip the binoculars of my faith so that I see my problems in light of Your massive power, rather than viewing Your power through the lens of my problems.
Thank You for the battles You have already fought and won on my behalf.
In Jesus Name, Amen!

The Higher Backing
Psalm 46:5, 7
"God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early... The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."

Despite the invasion and the capture of most of his kingdom, Hezekiah refused to give in to fear. He firmly believed that God would keep His word and come through for him at the crucial moment.

Consider the story of a man who worked faithfully for a company for 25 years, only to be told by his boss to train a new, young employee—the company president's nephew.

The older man went home dejected, fearing he was training his own replacement because the young man had "better backing."

His wife wisely stopped him and asked, "Doesn't the Lord God of Hosts, who formed the universe, offer a lot higher backing than the company president?"

When we face threats to our security, we often tally up our resources, our connections, and our "backing."
We forget who guides our steps.
When trouble strikes, our response should be confidence, not because of what we hold in our hands, but because the Lord Almighty is with us.


Prayer:
Father, forgive me for the times I look to worldly security instead of looking to You. Thank You for providing the highest backing I could ever need.
Give me the confidence of Hezekiah to stand firm and refuse fear, knowing You are always in my midst.
In Jesus Name, Amen!

When Trouble Surrounds Us

Psalm 46:1-3
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

In 701 BC, King Hezekiah watched as the Assyrian army overran forty-six of his walled towns and laid siege to Jerusalem.

The enemy described Hezekiah as being trapped "like a bird in a cage."
To the Israelites, the violence and irresistible force made it feel as though the world was literally collapsing.

It often feels like that today.
Between global turmoil and our own personal crises—a sudden job loss, a frightening medical diagnosis, a family emergency, or financial ruin—the waters of life can quickly roar and trouble us.

Everything in life is so uncertain, and it is easy to feel entirely unmoored when the storms hit.

When you find a pot of gold only for the price to collapse, or your ship finally comes in just to sink in the harbor, what do you do?

You must remember that you are firmly anchored in a storm when you turn to God.
He is not a distant observer; He is a very present help in trouble.

Prayer:
Lord, when my world feels like it is shaking and the waters are rising, help me to run to You. Remind me that no matter how unstable my circumstances are, you are my refuge and my strength. Teach me to trust in Your presence today.

The Road Is Hard, but the Word Holds

Luke 4:18
'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.'

Nobody promised that following God would be easy. Caleb and Joshua believed the report of the Lord and still spent forty years in the wilderness because of the unbelief of others.

Paul believed with everything he had and still faced chains, beatings, and eventually death.
Believing God does not exempt you from hard roads. But here is what it does.

It keeps you from walking those hard roads alone, and it keeps you from walking them without direction.

The Minority Report is not a guarantee of comfort.
It is a guarantee that God's Word will hold you when everything else feels like it is falling apart.

When the giants look too big,
His Word says you are well able.
When the enemy says you are finished, His Word says He is not done with you.
When the road gets long and the crowd turns back, His Word says keep going.

Jesus has given you authority over the enemy.
You have been equipped.
You have been promised.
You have been sent.
The question is not whether God has done His part. The question is whether you will stand on what He has already said.

You do not need the majority to agree with you.
You do not need the road to be easy.
You need the Word of God in your heart and the courage to believe it.
Stand on the Minority Report. It will hold.

Question Is:
When the road gets hard, what is your first instinct: to rehearse God's promises or to focus on the difficulty, and what does that reveal about where your trust truly lies?

The Minority Report does not promise an easy road, but it promises that God's Word will hold you even when the road gets hard.

Prayer:
God, I choose to stand on Your Word even when the road is hard and the giants look too big.
Remind me today that Your promises do not fail, and give me the strength to keep going. In Jesus name, Amen.
