🍽️💚 CONTINUING A LEGACY OF LOVE IN ACTION

LifePointe - Titusville is excited to announce that Donna Lessard will be stepping into the role of Director of Food Ministry, assuming the helm from Carey Hassell Chambers!

There simply aren’t enough good things we can say about Carey Chambers and the work they have done. Under Carey’s leadership, thousands of meals have been prepared and served—not only through LifePointe and CREW 29 but also in partnership with other ministries throughout our community. What Carey and her team have built, loved and led has never just been about food. It has been about feeding people, loving people, preserving dignity, and making sure those most in need know that somebody cares.

And Carey isn’t going anywhere!

❤️ She will be transitioning into another important leadership role as we continue to grow our vision of LOVE IN ACTION and expand the ways we love and serve those most in need.

For Donna, this is a natural progression. She has served faithfully alongside Carey for a long time, becoming her right hand and helping carry the responsibility of this ministry. She knows the people. She knows the mission. She knows the work. And most importantly, she has the heart to serve.

Now we ask our entire LifePointe family to pray for Donna, support her, encourage her, and thank her for stepping up to continue this powerful work of feeding the flock.

We are excited to officially welcome Pastor RICKY HORTON as the new Worship Pastor of LifePointe Ministries! 🙌💚💙

Ricky is a Brevard Countynative whose life has been deeply rooted in music, ministry, and worship. He has spent most of his adult life playing, singing, studying, writing, teaching, and developing his craft as a musician. 🎸🎤

‼️ His education and musical experience have given him a strong foundation in both the technical and creative sides of music, while years of worship experience have shaped his heart for leading people—not simply performing for them.

Ricky brings to LifePointe an incredible combination of musical talent, knowledge, experience, and a genuine love for Jesus and people. ❤️✝️ His passion is using music to create an environment where people can encounter God and worship Him authentically.

🥫❤️ HELP US STOCK OUR GRAB-AND-GO BAGS!

Sometimes hunger comes to our door.

Throughout the week, individuals and families stop by LifePointe Ministries looking for something to eat. To help meet that need, we prepare 30–40 grab-and-go food bags every week — simple bags filled with food that someone can carry with them and eat without cooking or refrigeration.

Right now, we need your help restocking!

We are looking for individually packaged items and easy-open foods such as:

💧 Bottled water
🧃 Capri Sun or similar drinks
🥩 Beef jerky or beef sticks
🐟 Tuna or sardines
🥫 Vienna sausages
🥫 Ravioli or SpaghettiOs
🥣 Chunky or Progresso-style canned soups
🍎 Applesauce & fruit cups
🍇 Raisins
🥜 Peanut butter crackers
🍫 Granola bars
🍴 Plastic silverware & napkins

Pop-top/easy-open cans are especially helpful, and items should not require cooking or refrigeration or be something that will easily melt.

And, as always, we appreciate your prayers. 🙏

Recently, one of our volunteers gathered our last eight cans of ravioli and made several bags. Not long afterward, a couple came to our door asking for food.

The bags were already there waiting for them. ❤️

Those are the moments that remind us why we do this. What may seem like a few cans, crackers and a bottle of water can become an answer to someone’s immediate need — and an opportunity to show them that they are seen, cared for and loved.

If you’re able to pick up a few extra items on your next grocery trip, every donation helps us keep these bags ready for the next person who comes to our door.

For many years, Kiwanis Club of Titusville has represented something our community desperately needs — people who didn’t just talk about loving their neighbors, but spent a lifetime doing it.

It is an incredible honor it is for us to be trusted with a piece of that legacy.

You have entrusted our ministry with your remaining resources. You have dedicated a children’s clothing closet in honor of the charter members who are still with us. But what you are really handing us is much bigger than money, clothing, or a name on a door.

You are handing us a legacy of service.

A legacy built over five decades by people who believed that when somebody was hurting, somebody ought to help.

At LifePointe, we call that Love in Action and I believe that is exactly what you have demonstrated for more than 50 years.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting us to carry it forward.

We cannot promise to replace what you built — but we can promise to honor it.

We will keep serving.
We will keep loving people.
We will keep meeting needs.

And as long as God gives us the opportunity, your legacy of love will continue to live through the lives of the people we serve.

We are incredibly grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Titusville for their generous $6,200 donation to LifePointe Ministries!

As the Kiwanis Club of Titusville prepares to conclude its many years of service to our community, its members thoughtfully considered how their remaining charitable funds could continue making a difference right here in Titusville.
