🌿🌧️🦜🐸✨ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY 1 AT RAINFOREST FALLS VBS! ✨🐸🦜🌧️🌿
What a joy it was to welcome hundreds of campers, counselors, volunteers, and leaders to Rainforest Falls as we kicked off an unforgettable week of exploring the Nature of God together! 💚🌴
From the moment our campers arrived, the rainforest was buzzing with excitement, laughter, worship, learning, and adventure! 🎉
🙏 We began our day as Miss Brooke and Miss Siobhan led our assemblies in prayer, helping us turn our hearts toward God and prepare for all He has in store this week.
🎶 We sang God is Creator with all our hearts and learned so many new songs!
🙌 We worshiped, danced, clapped, stomped, sang, and praised together!
💚 We celebrated the truth that God is our Creator and that His fingerprints can be seen throughout His amazing creation.
📖 Our Day 1 Bible Point was simple and powerful:
God is our Creator! WOW, GOD! 👏🤩🙌😎🥰❤️🐸🦜🐍🐊🎉🐒🐜🦎
Through Genesis 1, campers traveled back to the very beginning and discovered how God created the world with wisdom, purpose, beauty, and love. Along the way, we met our rainforest friend, Tango the Quetzal 🦜, and were reminded that every creature, every person, and every part of creation points us back to our incredible Creator.
🌿 And what a rainforest adventure it was!
🦋 We met Dr. Fritzi Flutterby and heard about butterflies with teeth!
🐍 We learned about Ezekiel the Ball Python!
🚓 We welcomed Officer Gallo—thank you for helping keep us safe!
🦎 We adventured with Ranger Power—Jungle Adventures indeed!
🐊 We learned and laughed with Rainforest Riley!
💚 We spent time with Miss Linda and Miss Lisa—growing, learning, laughing, playing, and celebrating!
Our campers were also thrilled to meet some very special rainforest visitors:
🦜 A beautiful parrot!
🐸 An amazing frog!
🦎 A fascinating chameleon!
🦫 An adorable capybara!
🦥 A curious sloth!
The smiles, excitement, curiosity, and wonder were absolutely priceless. 🌎✨
🎨 Our talented campers created colorful parrots, tropical toucans, and rainforest rain sticks!
🏃♀️🏃♂️ In Rainforest Falls Rec, they played games, ran, laughed, encouraged one another, and made new friends!
👏 We clapped!
👣 We stomped!
🎵 We sang!
💚 And we had an absolute blast together!
💛👶 Day 1 also launched our Baby Blessings Drive!
🍼 Diapers arrived!
💚 Wipes were donated!
🪙 Change filled the buckets!
🏆 The Boys vs. Girls competition is officially underway!
During Chapel, Miss Linda reminded everyone that we are Kids on a Mission with giant hearts for babies in our community. Through our Baby Blessings Drive, campers are collecting diapers, wipes, and change all week long to help support local families and share the love of Jesus in a practical way.
We are already so proud of the generosity, compassion, and servant hearts being shown by our campers. ❤️
📖 Throughout the day, we were reminded of the special verse printed on the back of our Rainforest Falls shirts:
“Praise the Lord, all His works everywhere in His dominion. Praise the Lord, my soul.” — Psalm 103:22
From Tango the Quetzal 🦜 to frogs 🐸, chameleons 🦎, capybaras 🦫, sloths 🦥, worship 🎶, prayer 🙏, crafts 🎨, games 🏃♀️, and mission opportunities 💛, Day 1 was filled with reminders of God’s creativity, power, goodness, and love.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers, counselors, teachers, prayer team, recreation team, snack team, worship leaders, safety team, decorators, office staff, tech team, and every servant-hearted person who helped make today possible. Rainforest Falls is truly a labor of love, and we are grateful for each and every one of you. 💚🌿
