Recovery Ranch, through the eyes of Melissa. I am so grateful and blessed that God led me to the Set Free Church and the ranch, phase one in my recovery. I was broken in so many ways. I was a practicing alcoholic....now by the grace of God I am a recovering alcoholic! Without the support of the church, I would not have this beautiful and safe place to call home, nor would the other 6 residents who
also call the ranch home. So many miracles are happening due to our decision to start following Christ and becoming clean and sober. Some of us have accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts for the first time and others have opened our hearts to Him again. Broken families and relationships
are being restored, as well as new friendships being built. All with the thanks to Jesus Christ. In our addictions, no matter what they were, we were selfish. We lost sight of helping and caring for others and the world around us. We are now a part of our church, the ranch and our community. We help others in all deeds. We are helping with the ranch livestock and property, lending a helping hand to all church members with whatever they need help with, we also volunteer in our community for different events. As we learn it is more blessing to give than receive. (Acts 20:35) But do not be mistake, we are definitely receiving also. My final thought.....Love the broken, though you do not have to love their actions! God can and will work miracles in all our lives! Always trust and be obedient unto Him!
