We are just 20 tickets away from 100 ladies for our Legacy Ladies monthly fellowship and faith challenge. We currently have 14 small groups meeting and discussing the Kingdom Woman study and the reviews and testimonies are so powerful. Sunday night we will hear some of these testimonies but also will hear a message from Bro Donnie Edwards on the 10 marks of a Kingdom Woman. God’s doing so many great things in our Legacy Ladies women’s ministry and we praise God for what He is doing. You do not have to be a member to participate in one of the small groups or come to our monthly fellowships. Currently we have about 30 percent non members participating in small groups and there are groups in about every community around Texarkana. Tickets for Sunday nights event will be available through tonight’s services. Our next study is “The Gift of Forgiveness” so make plans to start small grouping with us!

Looking forward to next Sunday night for the Legacy Ladies “ Kingdom Woman” testimonial fellowship and biblical challenge brought by Bro Donnie Edwards. We will be hearing several 2 min testimonies from the ladies on what this study and small groups did for their faith walk and spiritual growth this month. $10 Tickets will still be available for the smoked chicken dinner and sides at the Legacy Baptist TXK info center till Wednesday! We also will be hearing from Mandy Armstrongon the local Forster care mission called “ The Call”! Our next months Bible study and small group book study is “The Gift of Forgiveness” by Charles Stanley!

Seeing Your Child Through God’s Eyes

PRAY OVER THIS:
“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”...

(Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

PONDER THIS:
Did you know Thomas Edison was sent home from school because his teacher said he was too dumb? Do you know what his mama said? His mama said, “I know my boy and he is not stupid. He’s smart. I’ll teach him myself.” And she did. The problem was that the teacher couldn’t realize how smart the boy was, not that he was dumb. You see, every child is different. Parents know the unique proclivities in their children. See your child as unique before God and learn to communicate with your child creatively. Your child is made in God’s image. God has gifted you with the ability to discover the best way to communicate spiritual truth to your child. Do not neglect to disciple your children in the unique ways that only you can.

Communicating Heart To Heart

PRAY OVER THIS:
“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”...

(John 15:15)

PONDER THIS:
In marriage, there must be a lasting commitment, but there must also be loving communication. Many marriages get into difficulty because the husband and the wife don’t learn how to communicate. Again, let’s go back to the analogy of Christ and the Church. Does Jesus Christ communicate with the Church? Yes, He does. He’s given us His Word. He speaks to us. He has sent His Spirit into our hearts. He whispers to our being that we belong to Him. We have the most intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, who said, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing.” He has given His Spirit to share His heart and life with us. Most husbands and wives who fail in their marriages have not learned to communicate.

What are some ways you’ve seen communication as an obstacle in your own marriage or marriages of those close to you?
What would it look like to communicate with those around you in the manner Jesus communicates with you?

Make a list of ways Jesus communicates with you. Consider how you might follow some of these same principles in communicating with others.

When Your Spouse Isn’t Perfect

PRAY OVER THIS:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”...

(Genesis 2:24)

PONDER THIS:
The Bible says a husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the Church. Is Jesus Christ committed to the Church? Or, when we fail, does Jesus say, “So long. I want a divorce from you. I no longer want to be your Lord, your Savior”? No! The Lord stays with us, and He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Praise God for that.

You want me to tell you what a perfect husband is? A perfect husband is a man who does not demand a perfect wife. You want me to tell you what a perfect wife is? One who does not demand a perfect husband. Have you ever thought that your spouse’s failures may be God’s gift to you to help you develop character? His or her lateness may be God’s gift to help develop your patience. God knows what He’s doing. None of us is perfect. What a shame to let 90 percent of a good marriage go down the tubes because of a 10 percent problem. There needs to be a lifetime commitment. To be joined in today’s text means to be glued together, welded together. You are one flesh.

How has Christ loved you? How can this be applied to marriage?
If you are married, what are the areas in which you might have an impossibly high standard for your spouse? What needs to change?
PRACTICE THIS:
If you are married, have a conversation with your spouse about the ways you might have held an unrealistic expectation and discuss changes you want to pursue moving forward in God’s grace.

We had a great kick off to the Legacy Ladies small group ministry called Twelve! The ladies that felt led to host and lead out began their training in starting up groups last night and will go through the 12 week training. There are a variety of small groups available on different days times and places. If you would like to begin growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus and other ladies in the church and faith community then get plugged into one of these small groups. Here’s what you need to do. There will be a sign up sheet at the info desk with leaders names days times and locations at the info desk. Look over that info and see which one best suits you and sign up the leader will then reach out to you. The groups will be studying the book of a month which is currently “ Kingdom Woman” these groups will kick off first weekend of May. If you don’t see a time, a day and place that works for you please let Bro Donnie Edwards know and we will help you find a spot. So excited that there already 10 start up groups. Be sure to go ahead and order your book so you will be ready! Gods on the move!

Legacy Ladies is seeking interest in a Bible study on Sunday mornings for ladies 18-40 @ 9:30-10:15!
The focus and purpose will be teaching subjects on marriage, parenting and other women’s spiritual needs to grow in Christ. Mrs Amanda is praying about leading this class if there is enough interest. If you think you would like to be apart of this class contact the church office or message Donnie Edwards .

Good morning got a lot of follow up to our great meeting we had last night thanks again for all the positive input and communicating what you’re looking for and needing!

We are thinking of adding an opportunity to go through the 48 week in-depth Victory series for both Sunday School class times kr maybe a Wednesday night. How many of you would be interested in changing your class or begin attending legacy builders SS class if these are offered in both Sunday school hours or Wednesday night with different leaders facilitating it. I think i have someone to lead the first Sunday School at 9:30-10:15. I would need someone to lead the second one at 10:30-11:15 and attends the first worship services. If Wednesday would be better for some that’s also an option if we have enough interest and a leader. If you think you would be willing to attend and take this this class first or second Sunday school or Wednesday night please let me know and if we have enough interest in this time slot we will move forward. You can but the books one at a time or save few bucks and buy the bundle whatever fits your budget.

May 31st will be the next Legacy Ladies fellowship Bible study. This book will be the subject matter of our conversation what is a “ Kingdom Woman”! Encouraging all you ladies to purchase your copy online and begin reading an working through this study. Bro Donnie will be bringing the message and challenge followed by a time of small grouping the discussion questions. We will have smoked chicken, twice baked potatoes, green beans and salad. Tickets will be $10. This is an open event for all ladies 17 yrs and older.
