Fall Family Fun Day!

Grab your family and join us for a day full of fall fun with 4-H! Current 4-H members are invited to bring their families and friends, and everyone in the community is welcome to join us. Enjoy hands-on activities, games, seasonal fun, and plenty of opportunities to make new memories together.

Whether you're already part of 4-H or curious about what 4-H is all about, this is a great chance to come see what we're doing, meet other 4-H families, and experience 4-H for yourself. Come ready for some fall fun and discover why there's a place for everyone in 4-H!

From its extreme temperatures and fascinating landscape to its gravity and atmosphere, we’ll uncover the science behind our planetary neighbor. Through hands-on STEM challenges, creative activities, and opportunities to share our discoveries, young explorers will imagine what it might take to plan a mission to Mars. No spacesuit required, just curiosity and a sense of adventure!

We are opening the doors for a morning of fall fun, and we want YOU to join us. Current 4-H members can bring their families and friends, and families who are new to 4-H are invited to come experience it for themselves.

Spend the morning:
• Getting hands-on with fun activities

• Enjoying seasonal fall activities
• Meeting other 4-H families
• Making memories together
• Discovering what 4-H has to offer

you pack essential supplies, design an astronaut spacesuit, explore Martian gravity, and
build a home base. Will you crack the challenges of living in space? You may even get the
chance to plan your own Mars garden!

We currently have a job opening for a 4-H Program Coordinator!

This position supports the promotion, expansion, and implementation of 4-H Youth Development Programs in schools and communities. Works closely with established 4-H clubs and special interest groups to fulfill the goals of the 4-H program and provide high-quality learning opportunities surrounding the key aspects of positive youth development, including coordinating and facilitating hands-on educational workshops, after-school learning sessions, exhibition opportunities, and community service events. This position will be based in Hillsboro and serve Christian and Montgomery counties.

Yesterday, 4-H members from Christian, Jersey, Macoupin, and Montgomery Counties came together at the Macoupin County Fairgrounds for our annual Officer Training!

Throughout the day, youth strengthened their leadership skills, practiced parliamentary procedure, and learned more about the roles and responsibilities of serving as a club officer. Through hands-on activities and teamwork, members gained valuable skills to help them lead their clubs with confidence, work together effectively, and make a positive difference in their communities.

In addition to their training, members participated in a community service project by assembling care kits for local food pantries. Together, they packed over 100 care kits to support individuals and families in our communities!

We’re proud of these young leaders for investing in their own growth while finding meaningful ways to give back. This is what 4-H is all about: developing leadership, building connections, and making a difference!

Our Pumpkin Bread Take-Home Kit is the perfect way for youth ages 5-18 to build kitchen skills while having fun. Each kit includes dry ingredients, a pumpkin bread recipe, and a discovery sheet designed to help youth explore the science and creativity of baking.

Youth do not need to be 4-H members to participate.
