Redeemed Pasts.

WHO WE ARE
Simply put, we're a group of ordinary people whose passion is to know and follow Jesus, and help others do the same. WHERE WE'RE HEADED
We believe God is doing extraordinary things in the earth today and that we've been invited to join in. We're working to create a church community that is centered in the gospel of Jesus, provides an atmosphere of love, acceptance and truth, and in which his presence is experienced in a very real and life-changing way.

Dear Friends of the faith,

We are blessed to call the United States our home, but as we prepare to celebrate its 250th anniversary, our nation is in trouble and needs prayer. More and more Americans have abandoned Biblical truth, and our culture has embraced so much of what God’s Word calls sin.

Jesus Christ is the only hope for the future of our country, and only He can turn it around. That’s why I’m asking you to be part of a special 50-day prayer initiative called One Nation Under God—and it begins today!

I have invited one pastor from each state to lead us in a short prayer for America every day from now to July Fourth.

I hope you will join Christians across the land as we ask God for guidance and protection—and for revival across the United States. Thank you for your heart for this nation. Your prayers can make a difference now and for generations to come.
May God richly bless you,

P.S. We’ll post a new video each day at noon EDT for the next 50 days, and you can see it—and join in prayer—anytime throughout the day.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

New Life Gardening Group!

Ezekiel 34:26 (ESV): "And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.”

Thank you Father for your faithfulness and for loving us so much and for your desire to bless us so abundantly. You give us hope Lord. You bring forth renewal and divine provision. It shows us that we can trust in your promises and with boldness we can enter into the sweetest of relationships with you Father. No matter our hardships you are always moving to restore and bless your people in every season of our lives.

Lord we thank you for the rains and the upcoming harvest. New Life is bursting forth in our community garden, come fellowship and plant seeds of hope and tomatoes, as we care for and prepare for the harvest. We meet on Saturdays at 9am at New Life Church.

Let us take a moment to lift up in prayer Chuck and Allison Houchins and family as we mourn the loss of his mother, Hilda Houchins and let us also celebrate the amazing life of Hilda. Our love and blessings are with you all.

Hilda June Beaver Houchins, a cherished matriarch and beloved friend, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2026, at her home in Alexander County. Born on October 18, 1933, she was a guiding light to many, embodying love, faith, and dedication in every facet of her life.

Throughout her working career, Hilda served as a bookkeeper for Alexander County Schools. But it was her devotion to her family that truly defined her. Hilda found great joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. The laughter and warmth shared in family gatherings will forever be etched in the hearts of those who know her.

A devoted member of Stony Point Baptist Church, Hilda was known for her kind spirit and willingness to serve. Her passion for teaching extended to the Sunday school classroom, where she shared her faith and values with generations. Additionally, Hilda took immense pride in her role as a military wife while her husband served in the Air Force for 24 years; her dedication and support during his service were unwavering, showing a remarkable strength that inspired all around her.

Beyond her family and faith, Hilda cherished the simple pleasures of life. She found solace in listening to music and reading her Bible, activities that brought her peace and grounded her in her beliefs.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Hilda’s remarkable life on February 11, 2026, at Stony Point Baptist Church – Lindsey Hall, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of her life at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Dwight Austin and Chuck Houchins will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stony Point Baptist Church.

As we remember Hilda, let us embrace the love and kindness she shared throughout her life, ensuring her spirit lives on through our memories and stories.
