Join us for the Holy Mass at 11 AM on Sundays Grace Church at Nazareth House Apostolate, Taylorsville, Kentucky. It was Celtic rather than Roman. D.

Grace Church was incorporated in Louisville in 1869; originally on Gray Street, moving to Goldsmith Lane and recently to Taylorsville. Established as mission in the year 1853, Grace Church is in the Anglican Tradition that reaches back centuries to the Ecclesia Anglicana of Roman times. As part of the One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, Grace Church enjoys the episcopal cover of the Rt Revd Dr David C Nicholls of Lancaster, England who is a missionary bishop of the Anglican Church of South India. Ecclesia Anglicana (The English Church) predates the arrival of Augustine of Canterbury by about 300 years. It pre-dated the Great Schism of 1054 by about 700 years. Grace Church is within that Anglican tradition. It is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn't non-denominational. It is predenominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost nearly 2000 years ago in 33 A.

Thursday Compline Readings
I Thess 5:23 —
MAY the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

O Lord our God, we come to the end of a day of work and toil. Refresh our weary limbs with sleep, and so renew us with your saving help, that, body and soul, we may remain for ever consecrated to your service. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ, meek and humble of heart, for those who truly follow you, your yoke is easy, your burden light. Accept, we ask, our offering of this day’s work of prayer and grant us the repose we need to serve you better on the morrow; for you live and reign for ever and ever.

Eph 4:26-27 DO not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.

Tuesday Compline
1 Pet 5:8-9
BE sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith

Make the night bright with your presence, Lord; and grant us, your servants, so to slumber in your peace, that, in your name, we may rise from sleep to greet the coming day with joy. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Humbly we entreat you, Lord: we have celebrated today the mystery of your Son’s resurrection; secure against all evil, may we take our rest now in your peace, and rise again to praise you with joy. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

—Rev. 22: 4-5
THEY shall see the face of the Lord, and his name shall be on their foreheads. And night shall be no more; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they shall reign for ever and ever.
