Mission: God has commissioned Bethlehem Baptist Church to lead all people to become fully devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and for the glory of God the Father. It is the ultimate standard for the conduct of individuals and the church. Within its pages we find the revelation of
the triune God, the message of Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation, and instructions for a godly life. Gospel: The good news of Jesus Christ dead, buried, and raised for sinners is the only hope for salvation for all mankind. By faith in the person and work of Jesus and repentance from a sinful life, any person may commit his or her self completely to Jesus as Lord and Savior. At that moment, the saved person is fully acquitted of all sin and stands united to Christ in the favor of God. Henceforth, the same liberating gospel causes growth in obedience and wisdom and will finally deliver in the resurrection. This gospel saves us, unites us, transforms us, compels us, and keeps us. Church: A church is a group of baptized believers bound by covenant to one another to follow the principles of Scripture. The church operates under the Lordship of Christ and is governed democratically
with pastors leading the body, deacons overseeing needs, and every member serving. Through gospel-centered teaching, involvement, accountability, and restoration, church members take an active role in
embracing each other as a committed family. Maturity: Every follower of Jesus is called to continually pursue godliness. Because of the authority, accountability, and teaching that is found in the local church, there is no better place for the Christian to pursue this growth. Service: Since Jesus ascended to Heaven after His resurrection, the binding word upon the church has been, "Go." We strive to follow that command - seeking to reach people - near and far - with the same gospel that saved us.
