Bethlehem Baptist Church www.bbcspencer.org To accomplish this mission, we hold five core values. Bible: There is one binding and unchanging rule over us all - the Bible.

Mission: God has commissioned Bethlehem Baptist Church to lead all people to become fully devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and for the glory of God the Father. It is the ultimate standard for the conduct of individuals and the church. Within its pages we find the revelation of the triune God, the message of Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation, and instructions for a godly life. Gospel: The good news of Jesus Christ dead, buried, and raised for sinners is the only hope for salvation for all mankind. By faith in the person and work of Jesus and repentance from a sinful life, any person may commit his or her self completely to Jesus as Lord and Savior. At that moment, the saved person is fully acquitted of all sin and stands united to Christ in the favor of God. Henceforth, the same liberating gospel causes growth in obedience and wisdom and will finally deliver in the resurrection. This gospel saves us, unites us, transforms us, compels us, and keeps us. Church: A church is a group of baptized believers bound by covenant to one another to follow the principles of Scripture. The church operates under the Lordship of Christ and is governed democratically
with pastors leading the body, deacons overseeing needs, and every member serving. Through gospel-centered teaching, involvement, accountability, and restoration, church members take an active role in
embracing each other as a committed family. Maturity: Every follower of Jesus is called to continually pursue godliness. Because of the authority, accountability, and teaching that is found in the local church, there is no better place for the Christian to pursue this growth. Service: Since Jesus ascended to Heaven after His resurrection, the binding word upon the church has been, "Go." We strive to follow that command - seeking to reach people - near and far - with the same gospel that saved us.

Congratulations to the Spencer County Special Olympics Team!

They were the real winners last night as we all celebrated with the largest 5K to date! We praise the Lord for the opportunity to support these amazing athletes, and we had a lot of fun competing for 1st place with all the churches along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined Team Bethlehem Baptist Church! We had 64 people join our team this year and… WOOHOO! We did it! 1st PLACE!

Thank you to Taylorsville Community Church for the trophy and for the nail-biting, back-and-forth competition! We love our sister churches and are thankful that we can come together—not just to compete, but to support our community and these incredible athletes.

And lastly, but certainly not least, THANK YOU to the Spencer County Octoberfest crew! Thank you for the countless hours of hard work and dedication that go into making all of the Octoberfest events possible. Our community is blessed by your efforts and by the many hands that serve behind the scenes to bring it all together.

What a great night for Spencer County! To God be the glory!

We need your help! We have expanded our challenge and we need as many people as possible to sign up for Team Bethlehem Baptist Church.

If Team Bethlehem Baptist Church comes in 1st place, Pastor Greg Knapper will let the Spencer County Special Olympics Team put whip cream pie in his face after the race on Tuesday September 29th! That means we need as many people as possible to join Team Bethlehem and help make this happen. Share this with post and let's raise hope and help for our amazing athletes!

100% of the proceeds go to support the Spencer County Special Olympics.

Special thanks to the efforts of the Spencer County Octoberfest staff and volunteers for all they do!

Hey, Pastor Greg here. Let's have some fun church. If team Bethlehem Baptist Church comes in 1st place for the churches, both myself and TJ our worship minister will let the kids/youth (maybe even a few adults) take a turn smushing whip cream pies in our faces after church on October 4th.

Challenge presented, it's up to you church to make it happen.

Team Bethlehem Baptist Church, we need your support. We are currently tied for 2nd place. Let's have fun and compete with our sister churches but even more so, let's support our community and help raise funds for the Spencer County Special Olympics. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to support their team.

Share this post and most importantly sign up. If you can't run or walk in the 5K, just come out and cheer us on. If you can't be there, we'll have someone grab your shirt for you.

Let's do this!
