Join us for Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary this Saturday, August 15, at 9:00 am at St. Patrick’s in Tama.

While it is not a holy day of obligation this year, we’re happy to celebrate this special Mass together and honor this important moment in our salvation history. Mass will be in English. All are welcome!

Faith Formation Families!

✉️ Registration forms were mailed this week for our Wednesday, Sept. 16 start.

📅 Please return your completed form by August 31st so we can plan classes and staffing. Sacrament records can be brought the first night of classes.

⛪️ Extra registration forms will be available at the back of church after all Masses.

Farewell, Fr. Peter!
Father celebrated his final Mass with us this morning in Belle Plaine. He offered the Mass intention for the hearts and care of our St. Joseph, Chelsea parishioners, marking the close of 159 years of weekend liturgical celebrations. Together, we gave thanks for the beauty of the community and St. Joseph Church.
We thank you, Fr. Peter, for being the shepherd we needed during this short but impactful time. We celebrate Belle Plaine having a resident priest for the first time in 40 years. We celebrate the gift of having both Fr. Peter and Fr. James together, witnessing their fraternity, brotherhood, and spiritual care for all of us. We celebrate the joy of teaching Fr. Peter Czech, Spanish, and American phrases like "you betcha!" We celebrate that our Archdiocese was so blessed to receive a humble, wise, and servant-hearted soul, and we thank and honor Fr. Peter's parents in China for sharing him with us. Fr. Peter mentioned over the weekend that Circle of Saints would always have a special place in his heart as his first parishes in America.
Lord, we thank You for all that You have done during our time as the Circle of Saints Cluster. Though assignments and seasons change, we trust that You remain with us. Your true Presence in the Holy Eucharist, left to us as Your gift, unites us in one belief during difficult times. We thank You for the gift of good and holy priests who faithfully shepherd Your people, and for the good and holy families who love and support them. Please guide and protect our communities as we move forward in faith and trust. Thank You for all that You have blessed us with. Amen. 🙏🏼
