“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.” – Psalms 37:25,26 (KJV)

HELD, GUIDED, AND NEVER FORSAKEN

📖 Psalm 37:23–29

This passage paints a steady, reassuring picture of a life that is in God’s hands. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD…” your journey is not random. God is actively involved in directing your path. Even when you don’t see the full picture, He is guiding each step with purpose.

“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down…” This is grace in action. Falling may happen, but failure is not final. God does not abandon you in your weak moments. He upholds you. His hand is strong enough to lift you, restore you, and keep you moving forward.

Then comes a testimony that carries weight: “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken…” This is not theory, it is lived experience. God’s faithfulness stretches across time. He does not forget His people. He provides, sustains, and remains present through every season.

The life of the righteous is also marked by generosity: “He is ever merciful, and lendeth…” When you are rooted in God, you don’t just receive, you become a channel. Blessing flows through you, and it impacts generations.

“Depart from evil, and do good…” This is the call to alignment. God’s promises are not detached from our choices. As we turn from what is wrong and pursue what is right, we position ourselves to walk fully in His will.

“For the LORD… forsaketh not his saints…” This is the anchor of it all. No matter what changes around you, this remains constant: God does not abandon His own.

And the ending is filled with hope: “The righteous shall inherit the land…” There is a future secured by God Himself. A place of stability, peace, and lasting reward.

Let this passage remind you that:
✨ Your steps are guided by God
✨ Your falls do not define you
✨ God’s faithfulness never fails
✨ Your life can bless others
✨ Your future is secure in Him

You are not walking alone. You are being led, upheld, and preserved by God.

🙏 PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for ordering my steps and holding me when I feel weak. Help me to trust your guidance and to walk in your ways. Lift me when I fall, and remind me that I am never forsaken. Teach me to live a life of mercy and goodness. Strengthen my faith in your promises, and lead me into the future you have prepared for me. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.

“No one takes my life away from me. I give my own life freely.

I have the right to give my life, and I have the right to get it back again.

This is what the Father told me.””

Mark 14:8-9 —
She has done what she could;
she has anointed my body beforehand for burying.

And truly, I say to you,
wherever the gospel is preached in the whole world,
what she has done will be told in memory of her.
