"The more that God’s Word is removed from our lives, the more inhibited our spiritual progress becomes. Nothing else can do the work that the truth does. There is no sanctifying power in human wisdom, intuition, insight, or experience. It is only in the Word of God." —John MacArthur

GUIDING YOUR CHURCH TO PRAY FOR ISRAEL

October 20, 2023

The shock and horror of this barbaric attack on Israel by Hamas has stunned our world and our churches. Beheading babies, mutilating senior adults, sexually abusing girls, and taking hostages are only a few of the atrocities Hamas boasted about in this unprecedented attack. Your church members and those around you are looking for answers.

These are 11 suggestions to lead your church to pray for Israel during this time.

1.Pray for peace in Israel (Psalm 122:6).

2. Pray that all fear will be removed (Isaiah 43:1-2).

3. Pray for comfort for those who are brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

4. Pray for wisdom for the Israeli leaders and world leaders. Also, pray that God will grant our local churches wisdom to know how to best pray and respond to this war (James 1:5).

5. Pray for a permanent solution to the crises in the Gaza strip (2 Chronicles 20:12b).

6. Pray for Christians in Gaza and in Israel to be a light in a darkened world (Matthew 5:14-16).

7. Pray for protection of our Christian brothers and sisters in harm’s way (Psalm 16:1).

8. Pray that God draws Hamas and all Palestinians to repentance and belief in His Son (John 12:32).

9. Pray for all Israel to have their eyes opened to faith in Jesus the Messiah (Romans 11:25-26).

10. Pray this war ends quickly with minimal loss of lives (Psalm 46:9-11).

11. Pray with all the saints for Christ’s second coming. There will be no lasting peace until the Prince of Peace returns. Even so, come Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:1-5).

Disciple-making is not a program; it’s a lifestyle.

This is a big truth! What if you could train every member of your church to be a personal disciple maker?

What if you could transform your church’s discipleship programs into an army of disciple-making people? What if you could build a true disciple-making culture in your church? This is the purpose of D-Life.

D-Life exists to equip common people to be Christ-like disciple makers. It’s a proven plan for making disciples who make disciples—anytime and anywhere. As a result, ministries all over the world are using D-Life as a tool to equip and empower their people for a lifestyle of disciple-making.

D-Life is not a new program. We don’t need any new programs. But D-Life is a lifestyle of disciple-making modeled after the example of Jesus Christ.

D-Life is biblical—the Bible is our only textbook.

D-Life is missional—it involves showing kindness and sharing Jesus outside the walls of the church.

D-Life is multi-generational—it’s for all ages from teenagers to senior adults. And most importantly…

D-Life is reproducible—it’s a simple process for making disciples who make disciples who make disciples.

D-Life Boot Camps are four hours of practical training designed to equip common people to be Christ-like disciple makers. In D-Life training, we don't just talk about discipleship, but believers will learn how to make disciples who make disciples as a way of life. We will role play, share exciting stories, and equip believers with a proven disciple-making process modeled after Jesus.

D-Life training will make you believe that you can be a disciple maker and equip you to be one for the rest of your life. Attending a D-Life Boot Camp will be one of the greatest investments of time you have ever made.

The goal of D-Life is to see a global grassroots disciple-making movement. We want you to join the movement!
