Only through Christ Are We Made Complete
We all fall victim to comparison, just as our teenage daughters and sons do. Sin isn’t something we can escape in this world. The deceit and distraction of the enemy is constantly hounding us. But our lives were not meant to be lived in fear, doubt, or insecurities. When we recognize those thoughts for what they are, we can then fall to our knees in prayer to God for the help we need.

You Cannot Walk in Darkness and Enjoy Full Fellowship With God

1 John 1:6–7 teaches that claiming fellowship with God while walking in darkness is inconsistent with the truth. Walking in the light, however, brings fellowship and cleansing through the blood of Jesus.
Consider the difference:
You can know that Jesus loves you while you are struggling.
You can come to Him when you have fallen.
You can receive forgiveness when you confess your sins.
But you cannot deliberately embrace darkness and expect your fellowship with God to remain unaffected.
Sin damages our spiritual lives. It can harden our hearts, weaken our discernment, damage relationships, and rob us of peace.
That does not mean every hardship is punishment for a particular sin. It means that sin has real spiritual consequences.
Psalm 66:18 warns against cherishing sin in the heart while expecting an unhindered relationship with God.
The question is not whether Jesus still loves you. The question is whether you are willing to walk in the light of that love.

1 Kings 8:61
God is not looking for a halfhearted church, a part-time Christian, or a Sunday-only commitment. He is calling His people to give Him their whole hearts, to walk in His Word, and to remain faithful in every season of life.
When our hearts are fully committed to God, our lives begin to reflect His character, our obedience becomes our lifestyle, and our worship becomes more than words.
We are living in a time when many people want the blessings of God without the commitment that comes with serving God. They want His protection, but they do not want His correction. They want His promises, but they do not always want to follow His instructions. They want Him to open doors, but sometimes they resist when He tells them to close a door. God Wants All of Your Heart All The Time.

Psalms 112:1- 10
There is nothing wrong with asking God to bless us. The Bible teaches us that God is our provider, our protector, our strength, and our help in times of trouble.
But there is something greater than simply asking God for blessings. We must desire to live the kind of life that honors the One who blesses us!
The question this morning is not just, “Lord, will You bless me?”
The question is also, “Lord, am I living in a way that pleases You?"
Psalm 112 gives us a picture of a person who fears the Lord, loves His Word, trusts His promises, gives generously, stands firmly in difficult times, and leaves a godly influence on others.
This psalm reminds us that a blessed life is not a life without trouble. It is a life anchored in God when trouble comes.
You can have problems and still be blessed. You can face opposition and still be blessed. You can walk through a valley and still be blessed. You can experience a storm and still have peace in your soul.
The greatest blessing is not that we never face a storm; it is that we know the God who will sustain us through the storm!

For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
Hoses 6:6
There is something God has always desired from His people that is greater than religious activity.
God does not simply want our hands—He wants our hearts.
He does not merely want us to come to church; He wants us to know Him.
He does not merely want us to sing songs; He wants us to worship Him.
He does not merely want us to lift our hands; He wants us to surrender our lives.
He does not merely want sacrifice; He wants relationship.
Israel had become religious, but their hearts were drifting away from God. They knew how to bring sacrifices, but they had forgotten how to love God and obey Him.
And God speaks through the prophet Hosea:
“For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.”
God was saying, “You are giving Me the outward things, but I want the inward thing.”
You can have church without having Christ.
You can have religion without relationship.
You can have a Bible in your hand and still have rebellion in your heart.
You can know how to shout, dance, sing, and say “Amen,” but God is looking deeper than our outward expressions.
God is looking at the heart.

Today might have been a long tough day. You might be stressed out, wore out, feeling hurt, feeling let down, depressed, beat up, broken, and unloved.
BUT GOD!
He has been by your side all the time.
NOW IT'S TIME TO GET UP AND START PRAISING GOD!
SHOUT A HALLELUJAH.
REJOICE. REJOICE.
GOD IS RESTORING EVERYTHING!

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.
2 Thessalonians 1:11
GOD HAS CALLED YOU
Paul says:
“That our God may make you worthy of his calling.”
Notice that Paul doesn't say, “Make yourselves worthy.”
He says:
“May our God make you worthy.”
That is important.
God is the One who works in us.
God is the One who changes us.
God is the One who strengthens us.
God is the One who prepares us.
God calls people who are imperfect and then begins the work of making them useful for His kingdom.
Moses had excuses.
Jeremiah felt too young.
Gideon felt insignificant.
Peter failed Jesus.
Paul had a terrible past.
Yet God called them.
Why?
Because God does not call the qualified—He qualifies those He calls.
You may look at yourself and say:
“I don't have enough.”
“I've made too many mistakes.”
“I don't know enough Scripture.”
“I've failed God.”
But God is not finished with you!
Philippians 1:6 says:
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Your past does not cancel God's purpose.
Your weakness does not cancel God's calling.
Your failures do not have the final word.
God is still working on you!
