Today, we pause to remember, celebrate, and give thanks.
Juneteenth marks the day when news of freedom finally reached enslaved people in Texas. More than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a reminder of both the pain of injustice and the enduring hope found in God’s justice, mercy, and redemption.

As followers of Christ, we celebrate the truth that every person is created in the image of God, with immeasurable dignity and worth.

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." — Galatians 3:28

May Juneteenth inspire us to pursue unity, seek justice, extend grace, and love our neighbors well. Let us be people who reflect the heart of Christ—bringing hope where there is hurt, reconciliation where there is division, and light wherever darkness remains.

Today, we give thanks for freedom, honor the journey toward equality, and pray that God’s love continues to shape us into one family united in Him.

Today we're celebrating International Picnic Day!

There's something special about gathering around a picnic table, sharing a meal, laughing with friends, and enjoying God's beautiful creation. Whether it's a family picnic at the park, sandwiches in the backyard, or a simple meal shared with neighbors, these moments remind us that community is one of God's greatest gifts.

As you enjoy the day, consider inviting someone to join you—a friend, a neighbor, a coworker, or someone who could use a little encouragement. Hospitality doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes, a blanket on the grass and a shared meal can open the door to meaningful connection.

Join the CenterPoint Men's Group as we walk the Run For Your Life 5K at Bradley Lake Park on September 12. No pressure. No racing required. Just good conversation, fresh air, and an opportunity to support the work of Celebrate Recovery.

Best of all, it's FREE to participate with our group registration.

To be included in the Men's Group registration, sign up in the church foyer by June 28.

After June 28, you're still welcome to join us, but you'll need to register individually through the event website.
