The fruit of the Spirit isn’t just about trying harder to be a better person. It’s about letting God work in you and transform the way you live.

The question isn’t just, “What fruit am I producing?” It’s “What’s God growing in me?”

One of the gifts of being a “Sending” church is that the people we send out never stop being part of our family. We carry their stories, celebrate their lives, and when tragedy comes, we grieve with them—no matter how many years have passed.

This past Sunday, Misty and Omar Lara’s son, Trey, suddenly passed away while running the Portland Marathon. The Lara family has deep roots at Puget Sound Foursquare and throughout the Foursquare community, and Trey and his wife, Audrey, have continued that legacy by serving at Eastside Foursquare.

We grieve with them. We pray for them. And we stand with them in this heartbreaking season.
