THREE THINGS GOD WANTS TO REORDER IN YOU

God's grace is at work in us right now, no matter what's going on in the world around us. While we long for eternity, He's reordering how we think, who we resemble, and how we love.

1. How You Think: God wants to reorder our thinking right down to why we do what we do. He reorders where we find our security, our hope, and our peace.

2. Who You Resemble: He's reordering who we resemble, too. We can ask Him plainly, "God, am I looking like You? Am I loving like You? Am I serving like You?"

3. How You Love: Sometimes we're fickle in who we want to show love to, and our love doesn't look much like the Father we claim to represent. In His grace, God keeps reordering what's out of order.

Every one of us is still a work in progress. God is still reordering our lives, and the prayer is simple: "God, You get to reorder whatever You want. If there are attitudes, reorder them. If there are motivations, reorder them."

EVERYONE HAS BEEN AN OUTSIDER (GOD WANTS YOU TO REMEMBER)

Every one of us has been the outsider. There was a day our sin separated us from God. There was a barrier, an obstacle in the way.

In His grace, God did something for us that we could never do for ourselves.

Maybe we grew up in church. Maybe our whole life has been in church. That's amazing, and we were still outsiders.

There was a day the grace of Jesus needed to reach each of us and rescue us.

Israel knew this well. God's people had spent 400 years in oppression and slavery in Egypt.

Leading them out of Egypt and into the wilderness, God made a covenant with them. Even as He chose them, He wanted them to remember what it was like to be the outsider.

God tied that memory to a command in Deuteronomy 10:19: "You are also to love the resident alien, since you were resident aliens in the land of Egypt."

Remember where we came from. God chose us and brought us to His table, and we were once outsiders too. That memory is what moves us to love the stranger.
