YOUR LEGACY ISN’T SOMETHING YOU LEAVE SOMEDAY. YOU’RE LIVING IT RIGHT NOW.

Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

We often think of legacy as what people will remember after we're gone.

But Scripture reminds us that legacy is being formed while we're still here.

It's in the words we speak.
The way we treat people.
The faith we demonstrate when life gets difficult.
The love we show when no one is watching.

You might be the only Bible people read even when you don't realize they're watching.

Live today in a way that points someone toward Christ today.

🙏🏾 **What is your life teaching others about your faith?

Legacy Is Lived

YOUR LEGACY ISN’T SOMETHING YOU LEAVE SOMEDAY. YOU’RE LIVING IT RIGHT NOW.

đź“– Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Someone is learning from the way you live even when you don't realize they're watching.

Live today in a way that points someone toward Christ tomorrow.

Sunday Reflection — Your Legacy

WHAT WILL YOUR LIFE TEACH THE GENERATIONS COMING BEHIND YOU?

đź“– When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
2 Timothy 1:5

Timothy's story reminds us that legacy is more than what we leave behind. It is what we live before others every day.

Before Timothy became the man of God who served alongside Paul, there were two women whose faith helped shape him his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice.

Their legacy wasn't measured by possessions, titles, or recognition.

It was faith.

A faith Timothy could see.
A faith he could learn from.
A faith that eventually became his own.

Paul later reminded Timothy:

đź“– But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. 2 Timothy 3:14**

That gives us something to think about today.

Our children and grandchildren are learning from more than what we **tell** them about God. They are watching how we trust Him, how we treat people, how we respond when life becomes difficult, how we forgive, how we serve, and how we live when no one is applauding.

YOUR LEGACY IS BEING WRITTEN WHILE YOU ARE STILL LIVING IT.

🙏🏾 What are the people coming behind you learning from the way you live your faith?

May we leave them something that will still point them toward Christ long after we're gone.

WHAT IF CHURCH WASN’T JUST A PLACE WE ATTENDED—BUT A PEOPLE WE CARED FOR?

“And all that believed were together, and had all things common.”
Acts 2:44

The early church understood something we still need today:

Faith was never meant to be lived alone.

They worshiped together.
They learned together.
They shared what they had.
They ate together.
They cared for one another.

Different people. Different stories.
One faith in Christ.

That same spirit of brotherhood still matters.

Who can you encourage?
Who can you pray for?
Who needs to know they don't have to walk alone?

Lord, help us not only to gather as Your church, but to care for one another as Your church.

ONE IN CHRIST ACROSS CULTURES, COUNTRIES, AND COMMUNITIES

What a blessing it was to welcome our missionary, Jason Stuart, back to North Avenue.

Sharing from the Book of Acts and the ministry of Paul, Jason reminded us of the power of Christian brotherhood and a truth that reaches far beyond the walls of any one church:

We are all one in Christ.

For nearly 25 years, North Avenue has been blessed to support Jason's missionary work, helping bring the Word of God to people in their native languages.

His visit gave us an opportunity not only to hear about the missionary journey, but to be reminded that wherever God sends His Word, we are connected as one body in Christ

📖 “For ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:28

And after the Word, we did what families do—we gathered around the table and enjoyed fellowship together. ❤️

We thank God for Jason, for his continued service, and for the privilege of sharing in a ministry that reaches beyond our own community.
One faith. One family. One mission.

THIS SUNDAY, WE’RE WELCOMING A VERY SPECIAL GUEST TO NORTH AVENUE.

For nearly 25 years, North Avenue has been blessed to donate towards the missionary journey of Jason Stuart whose work has taken him across the world, helping make the Word of God accessible in native languages.

🌍 New Tribes Missionaries: Serving in Papua New Guinea

This Sunday, he will join us to share God’s Word through the eyes of his missionary journey the people, cultures, experiences, and faith he has encountered while serving.

📖 *“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”*
— Mark 16:15

This is an opportunity to hear firsthand how God’s Word continues to reach people across languages, cultures, and communities.

Members, families, friends, and guests are warmly invited to join us for this special service.

Come hear. Come learn. Come be encouraged.

JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T SEE GOD MOVING DOESN’T MEAN HE ISN’T WORKING

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”*
— Hebrews 13:8

Some prayers are still unanswered.
Some situations haven’t changed.
Some things still don’t make sense.

But Jesus is still present and still moving.

Are trusting Him today?

Thank You, Lord, for being faithful even while we wait.**
